PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

According to a BBC article on Villa’s struggles, PSR was brought in to protect us.

Those supporters, more than any other in the division, feel they have been the victims of the competition's profit and sustainability rules, which they claim protect the 'big six' - Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool.
If your second paragraph is what the article says then your first paragraph is misleading. The rules do protect the ‘big six’ including City. The fact they were brought in to hamper us doesn’t make that any less true.

They are utterly clueless.

Publication of the outcome was going to coincide with this thread reaching 11500 pages. This was scuppered when Ric changed the posts per page setting. Timescales are the same so it's when we reach page 5750.

When you are Villa and you sell your women's team to your own owner you can't throw stones in your self erected glass house.

I hope they get buried up to the neck.
I agree with you, they and their ilk deserve everything they get, every problem that's coming down the track to stifle their hopes.

I posted the following a week or so back on the 'Media' thread:

"They were told. The Red Cartel, the clubs, the fans, the media, all with their partial, tribal view of the world.. they were told what it was about, what would happen.

But not one of the stupid f**kers (with the odd media exception.. here's to you Martin Samuel!) had the cojones to ask what I've always called throughout my time in management, the 'Sergeant Wilson Question'; as in 'Do you think that's wise, Captain Mainwaring..?'

They were told but they wouldn't listen and they pressed on regardless. And all the while, we voted or abstained against all the PL measures that they now claim are 'protecting' us at the head of the table.

Stupid, tribal f**kers.. F**k 'em.."

It's been like those ultimate lines from Don Maclean's (incredibly beautiful!) song 'Vincent'.. 'They would not listen,/ They're not listening still/ Perhaps they never will..?'

Agreed mate.

And these cheating fuckers sing "You cheating bastards" to us every time they come to ours, the irony is palpable.

I think there are City fans on here who cannot see beyond the end of their own noses. FFP and PSR were intended to entrench a self styled clique of clubs at the very top of the football pyramid. Newcastle voted for the regulations: Villa did not. But regardless of this the regulations did not work to the benefit of either club, or any of the others who voted for them, unless they were members of that group of "big clubs" who had dominated the game and its "revenue streams" until 2009. City, like many others were to be part of the out crowd, unable to use our owners wealth. When the club made use of the owners business brains and contacts to grow revenue to unprecedented levels this had to be branded as the use of illegal practices and accounting. We know who was responsible for this and it wasn't Newcastle or Villa or any other "small" club: it was a cartel of clubs bent on the destruction of our club. So, let us see the enemy clearly and stop hoping that Villa and Newcastle for example are ruined for some perceived past sin and work towards the destruction of the PL and its cartel puppet masters, so that a sensible, fair set of financial regulations can be put in place. Thank god those who run our club are above petty jealousies and have a clear focus on wht truly benefits our club.
