PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Great thread and the audit aspect is something I've briefly mentioned on here a few times.

I'd also add that it's likely the first phone call Soriano/ Khaldoon took after the Der Spiegel leaks was with BDO audit partner, who would have sought assurances over the integrity of the accounting items implicated in the leaks.

If those assurances, which I expect comprised verbal, written and third party documentation, were not obtained, BDO would have resigned.

The fact that BDO remains the club's auditor six years after the leaks gives me great comfort.
Agreed. I appreciate BDO aren’t as big as Arthur Andersen, but this would be bigger than the Enron scandal that wiped Andersen out and would doubtless do the same to BDO. The partners will be well aware of this

It's ironic, though, that NH is taking umbrage with someone who is unqualified to comment on financial and legal matters, given that's been his MO for at least a decade now.

I particularly enjoy when Harris cites contacts/insiders at City and within the CFG for a lot of his previous info?

He holds the Magic (pun intended) key to nailing City in all these cases, past and present, yet none of these whistleblowers are prepared to come forth and on the record for him or the good of football in all these hearings...

Funny, that?

Capone eh?

The tone towards city fans on X is exactly the same. The way threads are numbered are the same. Magic was absent the whole day Nick was driving to Wembley to see the Saints. We post on here we think it's Harris and then literally half a day later an argument between the two cones out of nowhere. Going to be ab great summer watching this fallout.

What are the odds on two people being up at 12.51am at the same time? Even in conflicting time zones, when one is more likely to be wanting their bed and the other is having his dinner?

I agree

I don't know if it's true or not, but the idea of Harris sitting in his room at night pretending to have an argument with his alter ego about which is the biggest tosser is funny as fuck. One step from the asylum. And well deserved too.

I was at the ground yesterday and took some photos of the building work for the hotel and North Stand.

I sat there thinking if these charges are solid then our owners must be absolute fuckwits spending all this money.

Either that or some bloke sat in his bedroom with stains down his tracky bottoms is right.
