PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I do wonder if this has something to do with Haaland. They must be absolutely terrified by the prospect of City firing on all cylinders with him upfront. They got a taste before the world cup - relentless, record breaking goalscoring.

So maybe they decide to throw everything they can at us - knowing that it will, even if we're eventually cleared, hurt us for the next few years. By the time we can move past this, he'll likely be ready to move on. And thus, the prospect of City and Haaland turning their brand into the Bundesliga is averted.

This case will damage their brand regardless of result, but maybe not as much as City's potential dominance when Pep finds the recipe.

It's like employment in general... there may be a hundred excellent reasons to justify keeping someone in a job, but you only need one good one to justify sacking them.

It's weird that the only thing that gets my goat about this is the scene in the press box at the next home match.

And all the while throwing buckets of shit at our club.

Honestly, I think we’re on a hiding to nothing with this ‘independent’ commission. I think we’ll be found guilty no matter what evidence we can produce and that they’ll hit us hard with the punishments. We’ll challenge it in the courts which is where we’ll ultimately be victorious, as in, we get to stay in the league. Lots of damage will already have been done though. We’ll have missed out on big players and our name will have been dragged through the mud for several years.
I don't think we'll miss out on any players. We haven't done in the past, and - one way or the other - we've had these types of things hanging over us for a decade. Players want to play for the best teams and for the best money; we're going to be at the top table for some time to come yet, God willing.

I'm pretty sure that's not what happened and Pearce/City proved it came from central funds. The post @halfcenturyup made showing the relevant section of the CAS ruling doesn't state this specifically but it does state that we proved it hadn't come from ADUG, and I recall seeing it reported at the time that the money came from central funds.

No, City didn't prove it came from anywhere. Pearce said what he said in the email wasn't true, and UEFA couldn't prove otherwise.

The top 6 want us relegated - could it be anymore obvious?!

They can't compete on the pitch so they decide to take us down off it.

Dippers probably sick of us to be fair but Arsenal, Spurs, rags and Chelsea have some cheek - 'relegate them so we can have a chance, please sir'
Don't forget the American side of the argument.
We get kicked out the league and they have a free run of turning the prem league into the MLS
I would piss myself laughing

I actually thought this might of landed on our doorstep as we were buying Haaland but it now shows me its more about the government's white papers
