PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Some dick on here said earlier we should sack Ferran and Omar. Fucks sake, it’s bad enough the media finding us guilty without trial, but our own “fans”! The fact is that lots of these unproven allegations pre date these two even being employed by City.

Would love the club to issue a statement along the lines of...
Manchester City FC urges the government to press ahead with the introduction of an independent regulatory body for football as a matter of urgency as the current system is open to corruption and no longer fit for purpose! MCFC would also urge all other clubs who voted for an independent regulator to do the same.

I think that would point the finger back at the corrupt cunts and possibly get other clubs and their fans and possibly some sections of the media thinking there's more to this than what's out there at present!

When we are 100% cleared and innocent, that will be our moment, that will be the time to have our say.

Great things come to those that wait.

I really wish I had your confidence mate.

Every business is involved (at least) a few 'dodgy dealings', no matter how small or large. It's the nature of the beast.

If only one charge can be proved against City, the PL and media (and no doubt UEFA) will absolutely to town on us.

I must start taking the positive pills!

Maguire was on yesterday downplaying what the allegations mean in terms of guilt. He seems very reticent about going all in on this - he's a football finance professor, I think, and crops up a lot on this type of subject.

He is. A Brighton fan.

I think he's on record as saying without knowing exactly what evidence the PL have against us, it's impossible to forecast an outcome from all of this in terms of guilt or innocence. Or words to those effect.
