Not convinced he's a chartered accountant. Seemed to totally misunderstand your point about the auditors.

Suspect he's a fantasist (like Harris), but I could be wrong.

He's determined to disagree with me so wouldn't read too much into that. And in fairness quite a few auditors were very quick to say their work is a total waste of time and nobody should ever rely on an audit for anything! Also completely missing the point I am making about the audits.

It’s an interesting one as the key auditors are those at the sponsors and ADUG. I really don’t understand how the PL think they can prove anything without full access to the sponsors.

Mehh. Spotty young, disillusioned auditors on Twitter. There are tens of thousands of CAs who aren't good enough to have any real experience in auditing. There are substantially fewer who are involved in making decisions about audits and even fewer who have experience in handling audits from risk assessment to opinion drafting. Much the same as any profession.
