Thank fuck we missed out on him.We missed out on players when we were punished by UEFA. Di Maria was one of them from what I remember. Think we were restricted to spending £50m or around that figure.

Leterne's other quotes are blatantly libellous thoughA stronger case than some context-free emails?
I can believe that!
He's actually quoted as noting that there's no time-barring or CAS appeal route, so the case is stronger by virtue of not having the limitations. That seems reasonable as a statement, and the Mail have twisted it to get their headline - it says nothing about the strength of evidence.
He is. A Brighton fan.
I think he's on record as saying without knowing exactly what evidence the PL have against us, it's impossible to forecast an outcome from all of this in terms of guilt or innocence. Or words to those effect.
Can't disagree with what you say but as another perspective maybe the time has come after all these years to go on the offensive. No need for any false moves. No doubt City could still keep enough under their hat to win it when it comes to hey boys hey.We tell the Premier league what we are thinking?? Keep the cunts guessing. They will be worrying more than us. 1 false move could very the last move. Also people worrying about the rag and arsenal fan being against us because of who they support shouldn't be. Again if they can't be 100% certain against us on charges they are opening up a massive hole for themselves as fans of other clubs this probably helps us more.
"Strong" evidence took 4 years to find - or is it 13 years?Agreed. We'll be made an example of. They wouldn't have bothered with a 4 year investigation if they didnt have strong evidence. The independent commission will feel pressure to throw the book at us.
I've absolutely no idea how things like that would work but I'd guess if an independent regulator had been appointed before the charges were levelled at us, they'd have looked at the case to see if there was enough to merit proceeding with itAbout the Government white paper regarding regulating football. If a regulatory body had been put in place could the PL have charged us, or would that be up to the regulatory body? And would the regulatory body (when in place) have the power to quash any charges, if we provided them with conclusive evidence?
