PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Come on, you’re smart enough to know that’s not what CAS says. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

City did not prove ADUG didn’t send the money, UEFA failed to prove they did.

That’s why I wrote a whole paragraph in my original comment about it being foolish to assume CAS and the PL panel would reach the same verdict because they may see different evidence or just be convinced to fall 1v2 instead of 2v1.

I was going to write some more, but I will take the compliment in the first paragraph and leave it at that. ;)

I like the latest @projectriver tweet that he has posted.

This is what I suspect is happening. the PL is hiding behind technical list of alleged breaches without specifying the accusation and throwing a broad catch all argument. I suspect that is because they do not have a specific case with ironclad proof to prove a wrongdoing. rather they are throwing everything out in an attempt to get access to all our files and documents and get us on something, ie a fishing expedition.

if they really have clear proof of false accounting, they need to come out and specify the issue and say exactly how we cheated PL and the big audit groups.

If this is the case, then it should be pretty simple for city to handle isnt it...

I get the feeling you think we are fucked, Dom.

Not a criticism. I’m back and forth.

Sickened they are using our club to peddle their own interests, cheered on by the media and our bent as fuck rivals (not good enough to beat us on the park) alongside their smooth brained fans.

They don't have anything tangible here at all, if even half these allegations were real it would be an issue for HMRC. There'd be criminal prosecutions. Seizing of assets. Interviews. More.

It's all a farce, a last roll of the dice to stop City and ensure the "top 6" get what they feel is due. And they've already accomplished what they set out to - they know this shit won't stick in court, not with a literal army of lawyers and a blank check against it, but they've yet again shifted the narrative on to City and created the illusion of long term instability for the club.

But then, we should be used to this, yeah? The media have been downplaying our achievements since we started achieving. Every last wanker associated with the Rags and the bin dipping Scousers has long since given up pretending like their shite clubs are good enough to beat us at actual football. The PL knows full well the weight of both and has been trying to sink us for years, you just have to watch our matches every week and it's the same fucking story. City vs 12 men.

No more. Bring down the drawbridges, fuck the media off from our ground and let's stop pretending any of our rivals aren't trying to knife us. When the rags shat the bed against the gooners a few weeks ago, predictably, I saw a few round here actually cheering on those twats from the Swamp. Enough.

CTID.
Up the draw bridge ;-)

The 100 breaches thing is a red herring imo. If, say, the Etihad deal was being targeted, that would affect 5 or 6 articles in the PL rules each year of the review since it started. That's about 30-40 breaches all on its own. I am guessing there are probably 5 or 6 issues that repeat over several years and affect several articles in the rules.

Mancini seems to be one.
Players image rights another.
I suppose the same sponsorship funding issues at UEFA.
Not complying with UEFA is another one.
And
Not complying with PL another.

That's five, plus some others maybe.

100 is a big number, 5,6, or 7 not so much.

We will be OK I think ;)
The non-compliance with UEFA and PL seem a nailed on guilty verdict. We were already found guilty at CAS of the UEFA non-compliance, so I guess it’s impossible that the verdict is any different here? I don’t even care about these charges and it seems the club don’t either.

As you say, the bulk of the other charges are actually likely to be repeat offences of the same charge. Defeat one, and I guess we defeat all subsequent years of the same charge.
