PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Does it make sense for the PL to destroy City as a club? That's doubtful, for City are an important part of the history of the PL, attract big names and make the league stronger. If they strip us of the titles, they strip the PL of iconic moments like Aguero's goal and iconic title races. The PL would lose more from the worst case scenario than win.

But it makes sense for the PL to weaken City seriously and make the league more competitive. Therefore, the most likely outcome won't be expulsion from the league but heavy sanctions which will seriously harm our buisiness for 3-4 years or so: points deduction, no CL, transfer ban, etc.

Try to understand what makes sense with regard to the image of the PL and you can understand better what's likely to happen.

Now, one can argue that it makes sense for the top 6 that City are relegated and stripped of the titles, especially for Liverpool and United. That's correct. But they are not the PL, plus they also care ultimately about the good image of the PL. What makes sense wrt the image of the PL does not (necessarily) coincide with the private interests of the red clubs.

Personally, I expect heavy sanctions for the club, but no relegation and no stripping of titles.
If, as you say, hobnailing City to make the PL more competitive is the aim, all they have to do is wait two years for Pep to leave. Our advantage is not in our transfer spend or players wages, but in our superior football.

I just can't be arsed living in delusion. And as to my general outlook on life? I still blame Manchester grey clouds and City in the 80s for infecting my entire psyche. Blame them.
Agreed mate. Fair doos. Living and growing up in Stretford being a blue in early 90s had a similar effect.

Naively I thought our win against CAS would mean an end to the negative narrative on City.

Some hope, it has enabled the drip drip of lies to become a torrent and we are facing an even bigger ordeal than before.

The fact that the "independent" panel and appeal panel will be chosen by the PL fills me with foreboding. The PL is clearly in thrall to liverpool, unitied and arsenal with spurs as the little man hiding in their shadow.

Do we have allies in the PL? Most of the rest accept their place and will go along with the cartel. Newcastle may be enemies of our enemies, though Amanda Stavely was instrumental in our takeover.

For wolves, leicester and the rest, they will gleefully try and twist the knife, might get favours in loans or transfers.

There are huge (massive!!!!) parallels with CAS, not least the way our venal press are reporting. Guilty with no possibility of innocence! That arrogance will be shown up for the uninformed bile that it is.

People on here have really been running the whole gamut of emotions, including saying if we've done wrong so what? I understand that view, but it's wrong. Our executives are trying to join an exclusive club at the top of a billion pound industry. When even the European Spaniards are being called "terrorists" at PL board meetings you have to wonder exactly what they think of Khaldoon and the Sheikh?!?

So as non white non British people they have to be held to a higher standard because of the "clear and obvious" mudraking. As plenty have said we must have the most audited accounts in any business, I trust in our compliance procedures and the people we've got steering the ship.

It is written in plain language. I linked it and explained it. There are TWO routes to court. Substantive jurisdiction - irrelevant as the PL obviously has jurisdiction. And "serious irregularity". Thats it. If you disagree I think you owe the audience a proper explanation why.
My brain can't take all this legal crap. All we want to do is support our club.
