PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I think if we are cleared instead of going through the whole compensation route. The biggest fuck you to everyone would be to blow £500 million on revamping our squad
or take one player of our choosing from each of;-

united (Fernandez and stick him in the reserves)
dippers (Jota or Salah)
Arsenal (Odegaard)
Spurs (van de Ven)

Is it to late for clubs to sue dipperpool for 5 years of no European football and making us play in the full members cup ?
Maybe, but I read somewhere that 450,000 Murkyside residents had lodged an action in the event the dippers reached another Chumps Lge final and they might be mistreated and denied entry to the game. Always better to be prepared and all that.

Mehh, it's all old news. We always knew they would do it, why they would do it and how they would do it and now we know they have done it.

And if they didn't do it after all the Ziegler fuss of the last six months it would be a sign that the case had gone badly for them.

The only new things we know are exactly which clubs are involved and that we now know for sure all the leaking comes from one of those clubs (the PL hasn't leaked since they were caught out by the leaking by Arsenal of the APT document). None of the clubs commented to the Times, my arse.

So take your pick ......
All those clubs have leaked at different stages. It has been a campaign of hate. United have backed off a bit since Ratcliffe came in. Probably because of Berrada and because the club needs overseas investment and don’t want to upset any potential investors who may come from the Middle East.

Not too sure on the rags under Radcliffe, they were more than happy to write a statement for the Premier League in the associated parties hearing on rules that are now deemed illegal. I wonder why?

I thought that was strange but I think overall they don’t want to rock the boat. They dont want to upset the Government or potential investors. Ratcliffe is friendly with Khaldoon who has huge influence in the Gulf. United need billons for their stadium development. I believe they have eased off. Ferguson and Gill have been marginalised. The old regime hated City.

Great post. As you say, where does it end.

If City are cleared, I don’t think that alone will give us the basis to start a claim for compensation but if we also had strong evidence that all along this was being driven by certain clubs then surely we’d be able to claim compensation from those clubs for the clear and obvious reputational damage to our club and brand.

City should brief one of their go to journalists and actually name those same 4 clubs in Ziegler’s piece. Not outright accuse them of course but state “If City are cleared and it’s then proven that United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs were behind this in demanding they punish City regardless of whether any evidence existed or not then City will be putting in a claim for compensation against those clubs”.

Let’s see how the Cartel Cunts like it being thrown back in their faces!
Stefan does point out that there is still a big if about City's being found "guilty" but the matter of compensation does seem elastic and complicated to say the least. I have had mischievous thoughts about the APT award. Liverpool were loaned £250 million interest free by their owners. This was never repaid but provided the funds to buy Salah, Firminho and van Dyke. In 2018 these three were the backbone of the team which eliminated us from the CL. The loan was not against the rules (2021 edition) but it still breached rules on owner investment, as the IC found. How much compensation do you think we should receive?

The complication of what's and ifs dependant on the outcome for and against City seem to allow the Fantasy Football some sort of brief to play out the various possibilities.

Artificial Intelligence would be needed to assess the possibilities and their probable outcome. In fact we could forget real football for a season to allow these uncertain games to be replayed on the computer of the future.
