They have thrown everything at us bar the kitchen sink. Most charges seems to be based on players' image rights, managers consultant's fees (Mancini and Pellegrini), a technical breach including an Academy player, and a re-hash of the UEFA (lack of) evidence.Sounds like some rather petty, low-level charges in amongst them?
I get the feeling the PL want to cut a deal which means we will have to admit some of the charges on "off the book" payments (which happens at all clubs). That will be victory for the PL which sends a message to the Government and a warning shot to all other PL clubs.
I can't believe the PL want this to run for another five years with City fighting all the way. Or perhaps they just want to pass the buck to an independent commission which is the usual way of kicking the can down the road. Either way this is incredibly damaging for City and us fans.
