PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Agree with most of that but my gut feeling is the PL has virtually no evidence. If they had a smoking gun they would have sanctioned us by now. If they had anything significant it would have leaked out to their pals in the media. I believe the so-called investigation is just another attempt to smear City. When you see how weak Richard Masters is in public it is easy to see how he could be manipulated by devious powerful people. The end game for the PL was always about damaging City to keep LFC, MUFC, Spurs, and Arsenal Directors happy.
I agree with your gut!! CAS found that UEFA had no evidence to support their claims, though it found that Pinto's stolen emails did justify an investigation and proceedings! Immediately the PL announced that it would continue its investigation, thought it could not possibly have any new evidence which was unavailable to UEFA. The time factor made that simply impossible. What's often ignored is that City's evidence was actually of two kinds: our accounts was one kind but another was the statements and documents from an impressive array of companies and parties testifying that the accounts were accurate and complete record, and that both parties to certain sponsorships had performed everything required of them. And for four years the PL did - apparently - nothing. Then, just as proposals for independent regulation are to be published, up they pop with no fewer than 115 breaches of their financial regulations! What evidence DO they have?! What evidence CAN they have?! It is hard to believe - if not impossible - that they have documentary proof that our accounts - the most pored over of any in world football - are not true and complete. And what evidence do/can they have that those who supported our claims were lying!

I find this stripping away titles and this argument funny . So let say the discrepancy is in question here is 40-50 million , If that amount was all it took to gain advantage to win title , shouldn’t the threshold to win title exceed over 1b plus ? Exhibit one- rags.
I think if the argument was that we won the league by breaking the financial rules, and as a result had around double the amount of money United or Liverpool had, then that's a legit asterisk.

To match the advantage that United had when they won their treble, we'd need another £500m a year on top of what we currently earn.

That twat Jordan on talkshite earlier with White and Danny Murphy said all the people he talks to say we have a case to answer, coont.
He has knowv relevance that's why this clunt works on a daily radio show rather than any worthwhile job in football ! Just another mouth with no importance !

I liked your post but just add this for a sideways look at the clubs passive position.

I had read in several places that we scored points with CAS in demonstrating evidence of the tidal wave of pre-judgement, prejudicial comments and biased vitriol pre-hearing - and much from influencers in positions of power like Creterin.

Maybe, just maybe the club are boiling but keeping quiet and creating the evidence file which starts with the message…‘we have already been judged and hung, this myopic, one sided hysteria without any substance must have a bearing on the conscious and subconscious of the committee members.’
hope so!

Where were the letter writers and signatories then?

I'd like you to answer 1 question..

If they convict on the charges, do we have a right to appeal since as you stated it's the wrong forum and it's basically accusations of a 10 year fraud!
We can appeal to another 3-person independent commission appointed by the PL as part of the normal process. That's what Everton have done with regard to their points deduction.

But unless there has been a major abuse of the process or we feel they've made a significant error on a key point of law, there's no further right of appeal.
