PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

can you do this?

I'll let you know in an hour or so

simon jordan is a ****, but he's only doing his job,
which is to attract a listening audience to the radio station he works for.

he's also possibly being financially encouraged to throw shit at us by people outwith the radio station.

he's a snide fucker who loves winding people up.
why are blues letting him wind them up?
that's what he wants.
fuck's sake, just laugh at the tosser.

in advance of the replies along the lines of...
"but fans of other clubs believe his bullshit"
and
"city should sue him, city should sue everyone,
et cetera"

why do you care what other people think?
and
our owners do things quietly, not in public.
what comes round goes round.
the long game is far more successful than the kneejerk approach.

chill out, brothers and sisters.
channel your energy into to something more positive than hating idiots.

we've come so far, don't let the fuckers get under your skin.
better to laugh at their patheticness and enjoy your days following the mighty blues.
You nailed it in the very first sentence.

Aww, he's just doing his job....

In all seriousness though, Simon Jordan(and his team, such as, whoever is choosing the video titles) is not just doing his job, he's being personal and extra with it. Go look at his Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton debates and so on, who've had similar stories and you'll see there's a massively disproportionate lack of balance in how he approaches City.

Nobody needs to believe a word he's saying, take everything with a pinch of salt, bashing City must be making them money, we can agree on all that... But at the same time, fuck him, he deserves every bit of flack he gets. It's also good fun ripping him to shreds.

Maybe it's just me who sees it and he's nowhere near as bad as him yet but he seems to at least be veering off in the direction of Nick Harris level of personal, when it comes to City.

He'll even gaslight the audience/comment section, if they suggest he has agendas. Dropping in comments like:

'We don't have agendas on this show, that's silly',
or: 'I remember City at Maine Road blah blah, so it's not that I have it in for City',
or: 'I'm the same with Eddie Hearn as I am with Uncle Frank, blah blah blah'.

What does he think, that we'll all go: 'oh well, if he's saying that, then we must have him wrong'? Rather than, deduce that he's full of shit and shameless with it. :)

Just on the subject of City fans being easy to manipulate. I don't think the reactions some people are having is surprising at all. It would be worse if Liverpool or United fans had to put up with the same every week. It's almost like they are attempting to subject City fans to the press equivalent of Chinese Water Torture(the one with the constant drip on the forehead).

They literally write headlines to bait City fans these days:

The latest one from talkSport earlier today courtesy of Simon Jordan:

'Simon Jordan Issues Stern WARNING To Manchester City Fans Amidst 115 FFP Charges! '

I'm sure that's crossing some sort of line, with how they've directly addressed the fanbase there. It's even more blatant than usual. Perhaps part of the reason, is Simon's getting his own back, after City fans tore him to shreds, over the Stefan interview. He's petty like that.
If last seasons reaction to criticism is the norm then it gelled supporters, team and management to a glorious treble winning climax.
Our enemies seem to be making the same mistake again this year.

In fairness what else can they do? Beaten on the field, beaten by our global finances, beaten by a brilliant business plan.

I suppose we will just have to get our back sides in gear and take all their trophies again.

Boring I know but it seems to upset them.

Why would they give a shit about the nonsense being written by shit journalists and pundits? The only people who believe it are rival fans who would hate us anyway no matter what.

It's a free country and people can write what they want. They're increasingly just screaming into the void though.

City will just carry on winning everything, treble winners, going for 4 PL trophies in a row, posting record revenues and profits, an increasing number of supporters around the world, etc...

It's City fans that need to stop giving a shit about what is written.

We'll agree to disagree on this then mate. I don't believe the press can "write what they want". Perhaps to a point, but they've hovered around that point for ages and are now crossing it consistently. A fair hearing would be fine but the sheer amount of outside influence from our media will be difficult to ignore, there's loads of pressure on the IC to find us guilty.

Meanwhile, kindly Uncle Joe Lewis, owner of serial bottlers Tottenham Hotspur, has admitted he was not satisfied with having £5 billion of wealth but had to resort to fraud, that's real legal fraud, not UEFA or EPL fraud

Let's see what the commentators / pundits refer to 1st on Friday. City's 115 charges or somebody once connected with spurs committing a minor infraction ;-)

I am prefacing this post with the observation that I have deliberately kept away from this thread, and have only read the odd post now and again. Plus I have also purposely not read any further than headlines on News pages.
This is because I am at an age where I like to try to keep my blood pressure down as much as possible by not reading things that are going to get my exasperation and rage going!!

Therefore I am just going to ask one question: Do you as a BlueMoon poster/Manchester City supporter feel that City are innocent of all the charges or at least some of the charges?

I would hopefully get a straight yes or no answer as I am not even sure what charges have been brought. Sorry if I annoy some by not wanting to go deep, deep down into 165 or whatever charges. None of us as fans can truly know what the club are doing but do we think they are guilty?

Personally, through my blue tinted City loving glasses I wholeheartedly want to say no we are not guilty but I am realistic enough to know that the powers that be wouldn't open themselves to ridicule by bringing charges if they weren't satisfied that there is some substance. Plus I know how big business works, there are so many things that go on behind closed doors.

However whatever the outcome I will still state we are THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD. :-) CITY FOR EVER.
Between UEFA finding us guilty and banning us for 2 years, and CAS exonerating us, I had a nagging doubt that maybe we had done something wrong.

Once CAS cleared us, I felt confident that the narrative painted on Blue Moon by our resident accounting and legal experts was correct.

I still feel that way; confident that if the PL's Independent Commission is truly independent and does it's job fairly we will be fine.

The only worry I have is will the IC be independent and why isn't there recourse to truly impartial arbitration?

Short answer - I think and hope we'll be fine and as a fan base we should adopt the 'asterisk' as a club symbol.
