Was thinking that the other day when they announced the Stone Rose's/ Yoonitid deal. Thirty odd years too late they are aligning themselves with a iconic Manchester band to make themselves appear more local. They have the SR bucket hat when the only one who seemed to wear one regularly is a City fan.

Let's be honest their recruitment of players has been a monumental fuck-up and massive waste of money which was obviously to everybody but the useless twats that they have put their trust in.

They are a long way from turning the shite around to pose a serious threat although employing people who are clearly better is going to be a bonus for them.

The complete infestation of their fan base by anybody with absolutely no connection to Manchester won't change the dynamics, as they will still represent the worst kind of gloryhunters and hangers-on, so trying to make them Manchester centric is an impossible task.

If the case falls apart before getting to the hearing then all football fans outside City will attribute it to some sort of corruption.

We deserve our day in court to clear our name.

Unfortunately, the tribunal is not a court and its proceedings are confidential. We will win the case but will never be exonerated in the court of fan or redshirt opinion.

He hasn't yet taken up post, so I'd be surprised if it was him. That said, who else could it be? If executives at other clubs are getting insight into our case then the commission is not as independent as we are led to believe.

It was something along the lines of someone at another PL club doubting that the charges could stick, and that they wouldn't be surprised if the case collapsed maybe not even getting to court.


Something like that, anyway!
