PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Filing their financial accounts last week, Manchester City have reiterated their complete denial stance by referencing part of their initial statement in a Companies House report.

The document reads: "On 6 February 2023, in accordance with Premier League Rule W.21.1, the Premier League referred a number of alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules by Manchester City Football Club to a Commission under Premier League Rule W3.4.

In February 2023, in response to the charges, the massive club issued a public statement that it welcomes the review of this matter by an independent Commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.”

MEN is the source. It’s not new news obviously. We seem happy to continue to fraud companies house with our latest “made up” accounts.

They've got fuck all of substance against us, so they're shitting it because of the expected backlash from the "Whatabout City" Crew.

This is an archetypal case of "If only we could wind the clock back to 2018, & forget this ever happened"... :-)
Surely even in the legal world an investigation into what looks like 4 charges (could be wrong) and non cooperation shouldn't take what will be 6 years this Autumn and nearer to 7 to be concluded if any appeals.
Don't think it's a coincidence Masters and his cronies want this played out behind closed doors even though our friends in the media insinuate City of delaying proceedings.
Regardless of how this pans out, the clubs who get relegated will have cause for complaint, as everyone will break loose & start acting in their own self interest.

In the meantime, City are sat back munching on a bucket of popcorn, with that "We told you so" look on our faces...
Think we're all hoping Luton stay up then Masters and his cronies really will be bricking it!

I doubt the PL wanted to start down this road after our appeal was successful at CAS in 2020. However, it's quite evident that it's the Red Top Mafia & Spuds who were pushing for the PL to come after us, regardless of how spurious our alleged breaches were.

Ultimately the PL obeyed their masters & opened the investigation, which I bet they were hoping they could draw out long enough so it would quietly fizzle out with everyone forgetting about it, until the government announced the setting up of IREF in February 2023.

This put the cat amongst the pigeons, & forced the PL into hastily cobbling together the 115 breaches to come at us with. They rushed it that much that they didn't even get the breach sections correct, as one of the allegations was our grass being too long!

They made the corrections, but now they're faced with making the breaches stick, when it seems pretty obvious to all neutrals in the know, that they're struggling to make a coherent case out of it.

As UEFA found out, supposition & opinion may count when you're running a private members clubs, where you create the rules & are judge, jury & executioner, but when legal standards are applied, it's the law of the land which takes prominence over their silly, biased rules, hence why they're shitting it about losing face like UEFA did.

It beggars belief they've even had the cheek to come at us with the same crap that UEFA had thrown out at CAS, but yet here we are...
