PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Our owner & Khaldoon operate at an entirely different level to just running a football club. They deal with governments globally and control businesses with multi billions in turnover. They aren't sensitive souls and they certainly won't be taking all the shit thrown at us to heart. It's business and it's a dirty game. I don't expect they will have accounts on here to post raging comments about the media and rival clubs fans.

I think they are happy for it to all play out in whatever timeframe it takes as they are confident we will prevail. Frustrating but that's how it is.

Cease and desist is not something you use to stop fair comment there are some basics of free speech, it will never stop the discussion of 115 but will stop the cheat narrative that was sneaking in to some news outlets

And it’s never going to stop the click baiters or other fans
I recieved one a couple of years back to stop using IPTV via email. No read receipt and didn't have my name on it they just had an email address attached to the account at provider. Carried on never heard any more.
Edit.
I live no where near Norfolk.

Where is there any evidence of a close season settlement ? Where has any idea of a settlement come from other than a few guesses on here.

Whilst this would be fantastic it’s complete wishful thinking and goes against everything the PL have indicated to the journalists they leak info to.

I cannot believe the PL would still be saying via the usual outlets there is an Autumn hearing and announcement next year when they are in secret settlement discussions for the Summer.

I’m pretty confident we will be cleared of most charges but don’t believe this is not going to end up being heard as planned in the Autumn.

We currently being engulfed in a tsunami of negative coverage with another potential double being completely discredited with hundreds of 115 articles - why would we take that on the chin if we are being cleared ?
It's a forum, everything is pretty much going to be opinions and guesses. Is every post of yours based purely on facts with evidence to back them up?

What do you think the PL has leaked BTW? I've seen the odd statement from Masters and that's it. Some journalist posting "according to sources" perhaps? Do you only believe journalists when it suits your narrative?

Was that broadcast or printed? And of course it would only apply to those who had received it, again it’s not about stopping discussion of this but attempting to stop the cheating narrative, I don’t know if they sent them however the cheating narrative does appear to have stopped

Not from certain old friends.

"That's the title race over. Man City will be the first club to win four English top-flight titles in a row, and six titles in seven years. Two punishments for non-compliance / cheating, and 115 charges pending on the way."

Anyone who compares City to Lance Armstrong is effectively claiming City's players are on drugs. Because that is the true implication. A more obvious libel can barely be imagined.

I tried to make this point on the BBC the other day, but inevitably it was deleted as 'off topic'. In fairness, so was the post that prompted mine.

'Off topic' has a special meaning at the BBC. It does not mean starting to talk about boxing or World War II on a football thread. It means daring to contest the Red Shirt Agenda.

BTW more of us should write to our MPs about the clear bias on the BBC. It's probably a waste of time mentioning the press, as the MPs like the bias of the press.

I may have fallen for the bollocks of settlements and cease and desist letters, but I genuinely believe the PL wouldn't want us to be exonerated during the season especially if other clubs had been docked points, irrespective of those deductions being for different charges.
I also believe settlement, if it happens within a couple of weeks, would benefit all parties as the Euros might take some media attention allowing the piss to merely simmer over the summer rather than boil as it would otherwise.
Finally, if all goes well on Sunday, our sixth PL title in seven seasons will show the PL has been a farce of a competition for almost a decade which will hardly look good for future broadcast deals if we're found guilty.

Agree 100% - it’s a forum of opinions. Yet any of us that ask questions why posters think this will be settled in the summer are called a miserable **** !

Stefan said months ago he could not envisage a scenario where this doesn’t go to the full hearing. A summer settlement will set off the tinfoil hat brigade that there has been government intervention.

The only mention of a summer settlement was on that anonymous note doing the rounds a couple of weeks ago.

Hope it’s true but will wait to hear some more trusted leaks before I start getting giddy.

This was broadcast on the White and Jordan show earlier in the week. The day after everybody was giddy on here that Talksport had supposedly be warned by City’s lawyers.

To be fair in was a caller - an Irish LFC fan but the whole situation was so obviously teed up - followed by laughter in the studio.

It was a caller iirc? If it was, then the issue is how Talksport responded. If they sadi "yes, that's right", they could be in trouble, if they just laughed I wouldn't have a problem, if they refuted it, all good.

If it was the presenters themselves, that's not good.
