The only explosive stuff Harris is involved with is explosive diarrhoea.Explosive stuff, literally. Harris should be all over this.

Why is this not on all media news loops. And those scouse bastards accuse us of sportswashing. Better being a sportwashing club than one that advertises a terrorist funding, money laundering, sanctions breaking bank on their shirts.
He's probably unaware that City picked up Ortega on a free transfer from Arminia Bielefeld after they'd been relegated from the Bundesliga. Who knew world class keepers could be picked up for nothing from crap teams?Commentator said during the Tottenham match that City were able to bring a world class keeper off the bench.
Probably nailed on that the same commentator couldn't have named Stefan Ortega or his club 2 years ago.
Apologies if this had already been commented on but couldnt see it anywhere - but I see Bajkowski has written a snide piece in the MEN quoting Dr Dan Plumley and a guilty verdict is due next year that will shock football.
Bajkowski is on the City beat, at the press conferences etc yet still writes this type of crap. Plumley seems to get wheeled out whenever they are looking for snide comments of City from a financial perspective.

Plum by nameThat's classic. Dr Dan Plumley the great football finance expert in an interview with instantcasinos.com (yes, really) said this:

I can see three things wrong with just that one paragraph. First, there are no rumours of penalties, there are possible penalties at the panel's discretion. Secondly, the number of allegations has no bearing at all on how serious they are or not. Thirdly, "significant penalties" if "any of" the allegations are proven. Really.
What is it about Sheffield Hallam that vomits up so many football finance experts, all of a sudden?

Unconscious bias perhaps, they all want to impress the top dog so believe everything the boss says without trying to think for themselves. That's classic. Dr Dan Plumley the great football finance expert in an interview with instantcasinos.com (yes, really) said this:

It's dirty oil money if the oil comes from the gulf states such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia etc. It's not dirty oil money if it comes from the white oil barons from the redneck state of Texas in the good ol' US of A
i cant honestly say that i ever saw it referred to as dirty gas money, if they were slaughtered it was because RA had links with putin and they made it a political issue which is understandable, but they could make the same issues with any of the american owners and their ties to politicians which never ever happens.
I would definitely agree with all that. My point was more fluffy and general. This is just wrong.
The clamour to find us guilty is led by the media, but that's not because they hate winners. It's because a clamour to find us guilty generates significantly more revenue than would a clamour to find us innocent.
The media are in it for themselves - for the money.
This works in a number of ways. Self evidently, there is much more engagement in anything that says 'City are guilty' than in the opposite. This is because fans of the most popular teams all want us to be guilty, therefore will engage more actively with anything that reflects that. Every single media outlet with any serious presence has explored the 'City are Guilty' story from numerous angles, and they have all gone down very well with a lot of people who get to read the stories they want to read.
Of course, it is not just a question of what gets clicks. The stories that are planted and leaked, they are done by individuals with their own agenda. What might be in it for the journalists writing this stuff up? Access? Further leaks? Off-the-record briefings? There is a long history of journalism being a two-way-street - you scratch my back etc.
The important point is that this is not some particular quirk of the British people. There are vested interests at work. That is why there is such a clamour to find City guilty.
I particularly liked the line “escaped sanctions after Camerons government intervened in 2012”.Not sure if the correct thread but I hope Liverpool fans read this before passing judgement on City and our owners, sponsors and our financial arrangements.

But, but, but that doesn’t actually refer to …. oh fuck it, it wasn’t their fault, it definitely means more and I’ll just go and beat myself senseless with a rolled up Sun newspaper as penance for even thinking about disrespecting the greatest football club in the world! How dare you bring Hillsborough into this. End of discussion.
Given what’s happened to regional newspapers over the past decade, I think that the concept of having a local beat reporter has probably lost a lot of meaning, and this likely reflects in the shit they churn out now.Apologies if this had already been commented on but couldnt see it anywhere - but I see Bajkowski has written a snide piece in the MEN quoting Dr Dan Plumley and a guilty verdict is due next year that will shock football.
