PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Im intersted to know if you @slbsn, felt like Jordan had any knowledge of the result behind the scenes? I understand it's all up in the air, but still, you may have gauged a feeling.
Not knowledge but as he said on air he's heard City aren't as confident as I have heard.

& that City spending £400m on the infrastructure is no sign of confidence as it’s nothing to a nation state…..

Vulgar with racist connotations when you consider they are commercially savvy not to mention how it would look if relegated with a big white elephant stuck on the end of the stadium.

Wasn't Jordan just being his usual contrarian self. He wasn't challenged by Jim White on the show as to where he was getting his information from. I would trust Stefan's info far more than show boater Jordan. We'll find out soonish. Come on City!

well the assumption there is that we were paying him twice and that his consultancy role with abu dhabi was a sham, in which case the accounts we submitted would not be accurate and therefore would be false accounting.
First off, the PL would have to prove it was a sham. It didn't have to be Mancini personally delivering the consultancy so even if they had evidence he never spoke to anyone at Al Jazira, that's not in itself proof. It could have been David Platt, Lombardo or anyone else who was suitably qualified, even if they had no connection with City.

Second, great play was made of the supposed fact that we paid him more via Al Jazira (£1.75m pa) than via City (£1.45m). But this was a misleading comparison as his City contract was heavily incentivised, so by winning the FA Cup and getting top 4, he received far more than that base £1.45m

Finally, if the PL allege it was fraudulent and designed to hide expenses from the accounts, we'd simply point to the scale of our losses at that time (which totalled around £350m in the years that Mancini was manager) and ask why we'd want to hide less than £6m. If it was the difference between profit and loss, or passing or failing FFP, then there might be a case but the amounts involved are completely immaterial compared to the level of losses we were reporting.

It's a complete red herring and the PL bringing it into the charges seems to reinforce the view that they're throwing any little thing at us, however irrelevant it is. It's the optics of the charges that are more damaging than the actuality.

We can probably take comfort from the fact that if they thought they had us bang to rights on the potentially far more serious and material sponsorship issues, they wouldn't need to bother with the Mancini stuff.

My guess is that there was some tax advantage for Mancini in this arrangement and that many foreign managers in England have some sort of similar arrangement. There was certainly no advantage to us.

So he doesn’t have knowledge but he’s heard that we aren’t as confident as you have heard. So who has knowledge to have heard anything? Can you both have heard different things from different sources who have interpreted the same information in different ways leading to different confidence levels? Or indeed is he just saying black because you have said white to get the phones ringing. Didn’t he recently say it thought we would be found not guilty?

99% of the football community sees Manchester City as guilty, The other 1% know the truth, Guilty by Social Media is a powerful tool, How can you win against those odds, Even when you have been cleared by CAS guilty by social media can never be overturned.

Waving that little bit of paper saying we are NOT Guilty and innocent of any wrongdoings will mean fuck all because the damage is set in stone,

Let them who is without sin cast the first stone.
Only those who are faultless have the right to pass judgment upon others

Up steps United Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea, in front of the queue with a stone in hand

Knowledge is when you know something

He doesn't know this

If Jordan has heard that City are not confident, then he has heard it from someone. He must believe that the information he has heard has credibility, because he has aired it on a National radio station.
If he has not made it up then he has the "knowledge" of what that person has told him
Personally I don't believe a word Jordan says. He believes and wants other people to believe he is intelligent and in the "know"
I have listened to his bull over many years, many times he is completely wrong, has to backtrap or deny he has actually said something that is totally erroneous.

I reckon the first 3 of these Jordans, one of which passed away 2 years ago, have more insight than the Talkshite baffoon.

I like your logic.

He has just heard gossip from one of his pals at one of City's rival clubs. A small group of PL Directors have been spreading poison about City to anyone in the media who will listen for the last decade. It is designed to undermine our brand and our reputation.

If we was paying him twice ,and considering Mancini left under a cloud as he was unceremoniously sacked before an fa cup final !, don’t u think it’s weird nobody has asked Mancini himself if it was true or would he like to comment on he how he was treated by his now ex employers ?

Unless he was paid hush hush money ? Which it turn would make the paper trail even more complicated?

It’s all bullshit

Their case(premier league ) is based on the assumption that numerous high ranking people in numerous blue chip companies all conspired to commit FRAUD on a high level basis inorder for City to pass a certain ffp test set by the premier league to stop us progressing !

Why would anybody bother??

Let alone major players in major companies not to mention high level accounting firms.
Not Mancini’s contract again ffs. This is the least likely charge to stick. The rules at the time stated you only need a contract with the manager which we did. That's it. There was nothing in the rules at the time stating full renumeration was required or he couldn't have a second contract with a different associated or even related party. Nothing illegal was done and nothing was concealed either so statute of limitations will apply as well. Basically a load of old bollocks. So just ignore the Mancini stuff If I were you and concentrate on the other things

It's funny how the Premier League, Sorry United want to fuck us over for cheating ? United do their cheating in the open and in clear daylight and nobody blinks an eye, The latest Cheating was the £75million in allowances when PSR was breached,

Manchester City must blow the whole system wide open to have any chance of winning, Let's start fighting back and calling them out, For a start nobody else got that amount of allowances and even other clubs got turned down for adding anything over £2million,

Also, Why has nobody bought up the rising debt? that under the rules should be reduced over 3 years,
plus annual losses over 3 years is a breach, Now, Why has the Premier League not opened a case against United because of failing Uefa FFP and false accounting found.

Nothing is ever going to change until Manchester City blow the fucking doors off the whole system
Did anyone else read that in Michael Caine's voice??
