PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

funniest would be the media reporting if any of the red cartel would cheat PSR. I guess again we would hear lot of reports saying MINOR breach, taking it on the chin, honest mistake, admin error, accounting error, small adjustment needed only etc.

if its City:
if they are guilty, can their trophies be removed? will they join Vanarama North? is their success valid? we all know what their owners are like, the league reputation is at stake etc.

Talking to a Sunderland and a Forest supporter a couple of years back at a semi-pro game and the charges were brought up (not malicious). During the conversation, one stated that the charges seemed like a huge distraction away from the American owners who were coming under huge pressure for syphoning money away from their clubs/instigators of the ESL, knowing football fans would take a partisan approach.

I’ve always believed these charges were bullshit, but when put like that, from fans who have no skin in the game?

I don’t understand the minor breach thing surely it was they lost too much money. Though I haven’t seen any details in the dodgy media.

Rather than some technical issue

Well we are how many years into FFP PSR etc surely clubs are supposed to be getting hammered ?

I also don’t see how they can have lost a tiny bit of money. When your revenue is that big and players cost what they do a tiny mistake means your figures end up way out. They have been making lots of mistakes. They would have had it be very lucky to have only missed the targets by a tiny bit and be able to say well we only broke the rules by a million or 2 please only punish us for a minor breach

None of our charges or whatever are described as minor even tho some of them are

And then you'll no doubt have a clarification period between them, the PL and City and then possibly an objections period. I'd go for March at the earliest before we know anything and that's being hopeful.

So he was involved in that shitty YouTube video that was doing the rounds about 18 months or so back. In any case the £30m story was nothing new as David Conn covered it years earlier.
