PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That clip of Buzzer telling them the future about City twatting the scum needs a few reruns on here, thank you
With Dwight "Father of the Year/Nobody will give me a coaching job because I'm shit" Yorke cackling away in the background like the demented fuckwit he is.

What I find bizarre is the desire from Sky for City to be found guilty. Because if their dreams come true and the charges are upheld then Sky, the PL and many clubs will soon find out what happens next in a doomsday scenario of a guilty verdict.

The reality is Premier League will be shredded and we will enter a whole new arena of nuclear litigation that will kill the golden goose that glues Sky’s whole broadcasting operation together.

They should be careful what they wish for.
It’s not bizarre from their POV. Their subscribers are of the red persuasion, they are the ones that the PL contracts have been built upon. City, and the likes of Newcastle, are an existential threat to their model and the sooner they can shut the ‘new comers’ down, the better it is for the cartel to resurface, back to their prime Top 4.

This isn’t about sport, it’s all about who makes the most money.

What annoys me is city have never told sky or any of the media that we are not state owned and you can see who owns us if they took the time! It's like it's international!
Not sure how you'd expect them to do that? Or why they would need to? It's like DeBruyne doing a press conference to confirm he is white. He doesn't need to, as it's blatantly obvious and plain to see, as is City's ownership structure.

The problem is though, you can never account for those idiots who ignore the facts. To them Kev looks like Doku, just because they're both Belgian.

But he is ginger right??

If I wasn't a City fan, I would look at City and assume its a state controlled entity. The ownership is opaque. We have privately registered shareholders, but the club is run by state officials. However, the UAE state doesn't seem to me to promote MCFC internally or externally and the profile of City is lower there than it is here. I live in the UK but I have been to Abu Dhabi in a Champions League week and for a year I used to go to conferences online hosted by an American Uni in Abu Dhabi. The Emirati academics and students had no interest in MCFC, and they are really proud of their state as it is only 50 years old. I think a few English journalists should go there and then they would realise that sportswashing might me a good idea on paper but in practise it isn't happening with City. When City won the Champions League, we didn't have any UAE fanfare that I noticed. It was all quite rightly about Pep and his team. We never even see Sheikh Mansour. This isn't a club promoting the UAE. In fact when I go to City, I see Natalie Pike on the pitch promoting City in the Community, Gay Pride and diversity, not matters that the UAE is associated with but we should judge a football ownership on what they do . Good old Nat. I used to sit behind her in R block, North Stand at Maine Rd, and then in 216 in the South stand. She is a big City fan. It's not an act.
Great post. Very insightful.

This is the equivalent of me going to court 2 years ago for a legal intervention to have a three way with Holly Willoughby and Margot Robbie and strangely haven’t heard anything back about it.
I think you, me, city fans, non-city fans, Tebas should all just stick to the football. There is too much distraction going on!

It’s very shallow short term thinking. From Skys POV they might want to appease their larger red viewership but there are far bigger issues at play here.

They and the rest of the PL might have an illusion that all being well City get a points deduction and disappear to the lower leagues for a while.

That ain’t happening. City won’t accept playing a minute in a lower league no matter what the verdict.

If it’s about money then Sky should be praying that there is no punishment for City.

I had to transfer my flight via Abu Dhabi last week. There is not a single promotion of City. I walked all around the terminal building. Not one thing whatsoever. I remember being in Phuket Thailand in 2017 and the airport was full of Leicester City advertising.

This 'latest' accusation just goes to prove that it's not about the outcome of the case and never has been, it was always about the process of dragging City's name through the mud for years and years.
They're scared of us building a massive (sorry) fan base and therefore having a huge income for ever, these never ending accusations would deter some people supporting City for fear of being associated with a cheat.

I spent 6 days in Abu Dhabi only a couple of weeks ago & the only visible City presence was a megastore in Yas mall. Oh & the flight attendant took a few seconds out upon landing to announce to the passengers that Eithad are a proud sponsor of Manchester City.

On BBC now.
Before long they will dig up an EU finance law expert who will disclose that EU commissioners have the power to impose severe penalties including transfer bans, relegation to the Luxembourg National League 3 and stripping of titles.
Jamie Carragher will invite the guy (a University of Sheffield undergrad) onto his podcast to discuss.

And once again, the know-nowt masses will lap it up.

Gotta admit I'm getting fucked off with all this shit slinging from all quarters , tebas , media , other clubs , other fans , people who don't even follow football but have 'heard what's going on' I'm sure the people in the club that are dealing with it are just as pissed off but at least they are getting paid to deal with it IM paying for the privilege! As a supporter I nailed my colours to the mast 45 years ago and I have 1 request of the club ... once this is over (and I'm basing this on us being 100% exonerated as our chairman said we are) WE TAKE EVERY FUCKING BASTARD CUNTING ARSEHOLE THAT HAS SAID ANYTHING AGAINST US TO THE FUCKING CLEANERS .... thanks for listening I feel much better
Will be like the scouring of the shire...
