PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

They are involved in the "handing down" of the judgment. Once it is finalised and issued, their role is complete (albeit the initial liability judgment will be a partial final judgment with further decisions to follow.) Also this is not court, the Panel are likely to consult with the parties about their commercial needs as to timing where possible. Very likely any special requirements on timing and distribution of drafts have been discussed with the Chair and the parties are likely to have grown up discussions about the timing of this publication which the rules say "final awards of any Commission, Interim Commission or Appeal Board shall be confirmed publicly and published on the League’s website;"

Do we know whose role that is at the Premier League? We all blame Masters but who handles this on behalf of the premier league? Will it be Sir Gary Heckinbottom who informs the board & they communicate it? Would this require a board meeting?

Wasn’t the publishing of the APT award held up for a few weeks by the PL, until an exasperated City threatened to release it unilaterally?

Surely that puts to bed the PL’s ability to have ‘grown up’ discussions and/or a capability to follow their own rules, when the outcome is a ‘loss’ for the PL?

Maybe we could send a letter by recorded delivery with our intention to release the news. Update on the City website as soon as they’ve been served.

Maybe include a few errors to maintain the tardiness it began with……

Let's face it - this was just an elaborate ruse by Tolmie to get the thread count to 10,000 by the time outcome is really published. I reckon Ric has put him up to for the clicks :)
More money flowing into ric’s superyacht fund.

Just so I understand. You are saying the panel is finished when the judgment is issued to the two parties, then it is up to the PL to publish at a time agreed with the club?

Not really important, I suppose, but it's interesting to know what is going on in the background.

in point of fact,
recorded delivery ceased to exist about 10yrs ago.

on a tardiness side note,
the longest postal delay in the world was by royal mail.
an rsvp invitation posted in 1919 that didn't arrive until 2008.

I imagine City will publish within 5 seconds of the PL if the PL have to go first for some weird reason.

Actually probably 5 seconds before and we take the “non co-operation” hit ;-)

Do you really think the PL will liaise with City with the time to publish?

Other than simply telling City the time and date the judgement will be posted on their website.

I bet there will have been some serious NDAs at the very start of this process which is why next to nothing has leaked.

It’s going to drop with little to no leaks IMHO at a time that suits the PL best.

I’ve been out of the uk 20 years (in my defence)

The PL have charged City and will be announcing the results of those charges and this process.

City will have their response published at exactly the same time as it’s announced on the PL website. I think we might get a leak an hour or two before it goes live at most.

That's exactly what happens.
