PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If APT is anything to go by the PL will claim victory whatever the result.
They can claim all they want. If we get a £10 million fine for not co-operating, but nothing else. No one is going to take the Premier League seriously if they claim a victory. Especially after how stupid they made themselves look with the APT case.

It feels like the whole “non-cooperation” BS will be hung around our necks regardless of a possible “successful outcome” for City, so it’ll be “Well, you were definitely hiding something, but the lawyers got you off on a technicality again, so you just got a fine. But, you don’t get fined if you’re not guilty, so GUILTY YOU ARE!!”

I’m not sure why we care what TROLLS think, but if City are found guilty of even some of the more serious accusations, it will be a dark day at the Etihad!
That’s a book title: Dark Day at the Etihad, a thriller by Len Deighton.
“The detritus of the game lay scattered around me; a pie tray, some congealed chip gravy, a Bovril cup. I could not believe City had been relegated with the last kick of the game against dirty Leeds despite spending £550m on renewing the squad. We had struggled under our new manager, Steve Bruce, who had replaced Pep after a boardroom coup led by the mysterious Mr. Borson. It was a dark day at the Etihad.”

And £551m on your half time scran.

That's not funny please don't post stuff like that again or I will insist you get a ban.

FWIW I don’t believe City sent any letters of the type 1894 refer to, I don’t believe Sky have any idea as to the outcome, I don’t believe there is any particular reason for the briefing note aside from it being a huge story when it finally comes out.
With you on that apart from the last sentence. There is clearly a reason, otherwise they wouldn't have done it. That reason probably being that they are aware that they as an organisation have been very relaxed with punditry in the past. But maybe not much more than that.

Surely it’s a pretty binary guilty or not guilty on each of the charges?

yeah that's a very good point i would prefer a full exoneration put it all to bed even though you know rival fans will say we bought are way out and i know how you feel it's not doing me any good constantly refreshing
Here's a question for those rival fan's.
If we have bought our way out of the Premier League chargeses, who at the Premier league have we paid and will they be paying tax on their new found wealth ?

Seems to be some "sources" on Twitter and Reddit who are claiming we have won the case. Anybody in the know on this on this board?
Thanks Mr Shush. When I woke up for a piss at 4am, and had a quick peek at this thread to see if there was any breaking news, this post sent me happily back to sleep. I didn’t read anything else

it is 770 days since this first post on this thread.
the day it all began.

777 has huge importance in numerology.
it signifies embracing silence and trusting in a positive outcome.
it is considered an auspicious sign and good luck
(auspicious means promising future success, favourable).

7-7-7 is used on most slot machines as the winning jackpot.

7 days to go
770 days, we've won the champions league, world club cup, a treble and 4 in a row, fuck em all

I don’t know whether statute allows it or not but I hope we sue a few for constant targets and defamation and we should go after the irrelevant big club called Tottenham Hotspurs for starters
Remember Pep name-checked Levy just after news of the charges broke. He doesn’t do that for no reason so I’d assume we have dirt on that **** in particular

Purely a gut feeling but the part in that email about ‘when the verdict drops in the next month or so’ feels more like ‘it’s happening very soon but we don’t want to make it obvious that we’ve already been told the outcome’.
You really think they know the outcome and haven't leaked it? Lol. How could they know the outcome?
