christ on a bike,
where to begin with this...

why the fuck does he need a microphone?

why are the wall lamps lit as well as the overhead lights?

as for the table etiquette...

the so-called banquet hasn't begun yet because the glasses with water in are still all in their starting places and untouched,
but the cutlery has no soup course spoon next to the knives,
so it's not a banquet in its truest sense.

the 2 sets of knives are the same size,
when in point of fact the outside knife (1st course)
should be smaller than the inside knife (main course).

salt and pepper pots!?
banquet food should be perfectly seasoned.

the place names haven't be turned round so that the people sat opposite don't get their names wrong.

all in all a shitshow of ignorant yankie bollox.
no wonder khaldoon looks like he's realised he's turned up at amateur hour.

a multi-billion dollar deal hosted by twats in ill-fitting suits.

the only thing they got right was that the most important guest (sheikh tahnoon) should be sat opposite the host,
but the host should not be playing to the crowd,
shouting into his microphone.
he should be addressing his attention to the main guest directly.

Do we know why?

U.S. President Donald Trump gave a warm reception to UAE power broker Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed at the White House with dinner and a broad review of business and strategic ties between the two allies.

Sheikh Tahnoon, who is the UAE’s National Security Advisor, Chairman of its biggest sovereign wealth fund and brother to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, led an Emirati delegation on Tuesday that dined with Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other top administration officials.

Accompanied by Mubadala CEO Khaldoon Al Mubarak, ADNOC CEO and UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, and UAE Ambassador to the U.S. Yousef Al Otaiba, Sheikh Tahnoon also met with cabinet members including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Tonight, in the White House, I warmly welcomed UAE National Security Adviser H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan to meetings and a dinner with many notable, senior U.S. officials,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social media platform. “The evening demonstrated the long-standing ties and bonds of friendship between our countries.”

Sheikh Tahnoon said in a post on X that the talks focused on the UAE’s “long-term strategic partnership” with the U.S., as well as strengthening economic ties “by accelerating investments in artificial intelligence, advanced technology, infrastructure, energy and health care.”

While the Emirati delegation was at the White House, the government in Abu Dhabi announced the signing of an agreement with Microsoft and UAE tech company Core42 to improve the efficiency of digital services.

The agreement between the Department of Government Empowerment, Microsoft and Core42 was signed in the presence of Sheikh Tahnoon and Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority and CEO of the Mubadala sovereign wealth fund.

Just a thought ,City v PL,and PL v City 115,Delay in verdicts because of a clear out at the top level !.Both verdicts announced at same time .Get all the corruption out in one splurge,New leadership being installed ,can,t see Masters apology in front of a furious press having to back pedal for the years of shit they have thrown At Manchester City.

I have a confession...I wasn't at York away!
The shame
I don’t know why everyone is obsessed by York.

York was one of the more attractive games of the season in a lovely city, with friendly people, just before Christmas and loads of great pubs.

Wrexham, on the other hand, the next game on the fixture list, on Boxing Day, no public transport, pissing down, the team at its lowest ebb post the York game and Wrexham being unfriendly and an absolute shit hole, should be the infamous fixture.

Wycombe was far worse mid week too.

In the grand scheme of things, City are just one of many assets ADUG own, so if things went tits up it might not hit home as badly for them as it would for supporters, but Khaldoon isn't showing any anxiety as far as I can see. I don't like to make predictions, but I'm liking the mood music.

As a side note, the state ownership argument is basically richer people than us who've been able to afford to buy football clubs having a hissy fit that there are people richer than them. Hedge funds are the thick end of the corporate wedge, the drivers of 2-a-penny suburban outlet malls that have put small shop owners out of business, gouged ever-increasing percentages of evermore squeezed incomes and consequently made finding a home much more stressful than it should be, all so their do-nothing investors can lead the high life, so spare us their tears.

Getting back to the announcement, if the PL have prevailed, there'll be pageantry and a fanfare mid-morning, probably a Monday. City will soberly announce what the response will be through the website. If City have prevailed, there'll just be a statement with lots of inaudible guffawing. The PL's press release will be at 17.00 on a Friday evening.

Many funds have far more influence than states, in fact you could say it’s funds running the states.
