I think its simply that the prem want dippers over the line and win the league, and give them some gloating room. the last thing the prem and the dippers want is to be upstaged by this coming out and pissing on their chips two days after they win it. I think we are so far down the rabbit hole at times on all the theories and speculation we fail to remember how petty the premier league can be ie. Masters not turning up to present us with the trophy.

It’s either a ploy to get us because we have been cleared. Or it’s not fully on one side or the other and therefore more complex. I don’t think if it fully against us it would take this long. delays would be saved for appeals.

However if it’s in our favor I can see a delay being needed if it’s because the PL have acted in someway unfairly

It might be because it's a massive document to write up. We will know the result the moment the document is completed.

Who holds the cards of when its released? I take it the independent panel will report back to both parties the verdict.
Are they delaying this to allow Liverpool to get the title clinched?

But that doesn't mean a longer wait would be bad for City, just that allegations and all evidence was heard. I don't think the wait means anything at all, tbh.

Yeah can't help but see it in a negative way. If a points deduction is incoming, to do it in the summer so it is in place for the start of a season and not to muddy the waters of the current season.

Hope I am completely wrong, just want it over whatever the result.

There is no way this panel is holding anything back to make anything easier for anybody. They will issue it when it is finished. Simples.

Is this not in keeping with the normal timescales for cases of such complexity? I’m sure Stefan was originally skeptical about the prospects of getting a verdict before the end of the current campaign. If so, this update is merely confirming that things are running to typical timescales etc, not that I know anything about anything…

Surely the writing up of the judgment cannot take six months?

Unless the matters are closer than we think.

The APT award was 90 pages and took 3 months. People expecting this to be 300-400 pages at least.

Is it? It was said by Stefan and others that the longer it goes on then the less positive it could be. It sounding like it is dragging out longer than first suggested, doesn't feel like good news, if it isn't good news that might be a reason behind it.

Yes. There is no basis, evidence or precedent to assume we now won’t hear until the summer (which itself isn’t known) so they can bring a points deduction in at a more convenient time.
