PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It'll be interesting how City fans react IF we are found guilty and it's proven.
Some will obviously back the club no matter what but there will also be many who will be annoyed at being lied to by the powers that be.

I will always believe the club over any whitch hunt, kangaroo court or bent American cartel.

UNLESS all clubs are investigated as deeply as City have been.

I have toyed around with how I would react. If we was found guilty then the defence would kick in with why we had to cut corners and behave underhandedly. The overall bigger picture of new rules rushed into play to stop competition etc which would still be ignored and it would be big bad city.

I would be disappointed in the club though, it is hard because they can't really come out and say yeah we have fiddled a bit but how we have denied any wrong doing at all and claimed our innocence strongly from the off would be a bit of a kick. We know why we might have played the game (if we had) but the shitstorm we get off the back of it will be stronger for fans than it would the people at City. I am thick skinned but I won't lie in saying the last couple of years has been draining batting off the shite spouted on a daily basis.

My understanding is that the parties still don’t have the decision although that obviously could change even at 9.30!
It's not surprising that the parties haven't been told the decision yet as this is clearly a complex case. You would think though that, by this stage, the parties will have been told when they can expect the decision.

Hope not because we’ll never hear the end of it if it is somewhere in between. We need full clearance (although not too bothered about a fine for non cooperation because we had good reason not to show our business dealings to a leaky PL)
I was thinking non-cooperation myself which would count as inbetween, that said I can see the club appealing even that.

If behind the scenes they’ve chosen the closed season, im of the thought that can only be a plus for us. The anger quelled come August from other clubs’ fans and the punishment we get dealt with before the start of the season, which I’m guessing would be a financial one.

If they wanted to do us now if we are guilty of the major things, surely they’d do us this season and dock points, knocking us out the European positions.

Yes. It was my post that was pointless one!!

Deary me. The point was that contrary to some of the stuff on here, my pretty solid info was that as of this AM, the parties hadn’t had a decision. If that isn’t interesting to you, perhaps this thread is not for you.
You need to write using smaller words Stefan, you're obviously confusing some posters.

Depends on the definition of guilty.
If it's a minor mister-meaner then who gives a shit.
If it's corperate fraud of the scale being alluded to by the wankers outside of the club, then i expect protests and much anger.

Or fucking us up next season as we've ballsed up a title challenge without their input this season.

That being said as the post a few back says, to be really guilty we'd have had to be really amateur in our dealings and I just can't see that happening.

As of quite recently they had not been told. Could have changed since I got that info

Clear enough to me.

However, do they really arrive at a decision without having written down their reasoning to achieve it first?

My thoughts go along reading their reasons to ensure they are correct before issuing a decision ie give a chance to change a decision.

Would that be the case rather than it just being given to both sides at the same time?

Could they be informed it's, dare I say, imminent or would they just get it when they get it?

Yep, my thinking too. If it's to do with non-cooperation, Mancini, or even Fordham then none of that is serious fraud IMO. Disguised equity funding is a different matter. And to be honest, I can't see any reason why we would do that as there are perfectly legitimate ways to fund our sponsorship deals. That would be more amateurish than anything Swales ever did FFS!

Your latter point always sticks in my head.
The idea that some of the world’s most powerful and wealthy businessmen who have a prestigious global business portfolio which would make your eyes water, would indulge in sub Arthur Daly financial shenanigans and even leave a trail so obvious that the goons and cretins at the PL couldn’t miss it.
Not having it!!
