PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I really hope you are correct but when you say “my understanding” As SKY frequently use…I’m wondering what you mean. The implication is that someone has told you that Khaldoon knows the outcome. While I would never ask who this is are you saying that this is the case and you believe that person to be reliable?

It’s confusing because, although I respect your input, we have Stefan saying do not trust anyone saying they know the outcome because even City do not..they just have an idea and a very strong case can go against you 30% of the time.
Khaldoon, the Abu Dhabi sovereign international statesman would want to know before anyone that he had been cleared of committing fraud.
These are serious allegations, that could go criminal and that is what he had been accused of.

I know Billy was sure of his facts 4-5 weeks ago when he said City didn’t know, but surely things may have changed since then.
With respect to Ahsan, I know he has some good contacts at the club. But that doesn't necessarily mean his contacts, unless they're Khaldoon or possibly Soriano, are in the know on this.

And my source may also be wrong as there's been so many examples of people hearing one thing and extrapolating that to something wildly different.

There's a scenario where we could both be 'right' in that we haven't seen the outcome that will eventually be published but it's known to a very limited audience what's in there.

We'll know when we know.

I’ve said this before so not sure why it’s so controversial. When the club have the verdict it’ll be made public. The end. The mental gymnastics people are doing to convince themselves one has been delivered is a bit sad.

This isn’t the APT case it’s a PL commission. And the most high profile one in the history of the league. Laughable to even suggest they could deliver a verdict in secret.
Spot on mate. Instead of the usual suspects claiming they have a source.

Naive as it might sound. It would be nice if they could give even an approximate date of when a verdict could be expected. It's all this waiting around in limbo that has people frustrated. All the while the speculation, and mud slinging from the press continues without reproach. I know this hearing is complex and unprecedented in nature, and the magnitude of the tasks behind the scenes can't be underestimated. However, some form of deadline would put everyones minds to rest. Again, forgive my naivity, but like probably everyone else, the wait is really doing my swede in now haha.

Mate, have a sit down and crack a can open:) Do you not think that if a lad from Stockport knows, every other bugger would know. Just wait for the outcome and ignore my mate or my source says….

That would open them to all sorts of legal challenges. It will be ready when it's ready

for me there are far to many plus points to be guilty of anything, if we were about to get hammered by the PL i coulnt see peps number 1 coming in then the stadiums new build, the players we signed in the Jan window and the players linked in this window, every indication says we are good to go and normal service continues, i think the club has known for sometime were OK not officially but through the legal representatives, at some point after the hearing city would have been fully briefed on the possible outcomes, for me i'd say this was around the time Halland signed his long contract and it was released to rub salt into the PLs wounds
Pretty much spot on this mate!

I have ALWAYS said these charges brought by the PL are absolutely not about city getting a points deduction or being relegated or having titles stripped, they KNEW that city would beat the charges.
From day one it was all about smearing city’s reputation…just think we’ve had over 2 years of cheats etc……and don’t think when we are 100% EXONERATED it’ll be anything different, get ready for the expected BROWN ENVELOPES…BACK HANDERS shite.
Unfortunately we are witnessing the biggest, most complete smear campaign in the history of world sport.
Fucking pisses me off.

Think most of us are so desperate to hear any snippet of news and to be exonerated ,after the red cartels hatchet job ( with the help of their media friends )have labelled us as cheats for so long , the constant headlines suggesting sanctions such as being thrown out of the league , stripped of all our achievements were just what they wanted everyone to believe , when all this is over I really hope the club come out fighting and start legal action against the cunts
You're right and I too want us to be exonerated too but if we are we'll still be deemed guilty cheats by many opposition fans.

I don't let the possible consequences bother me, or what other fans say. When in past conversation with United fans saying we're guilty I just remind them of the word allegedly which pipes most of the down.
