PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That's easy, the rags & dippers who were the only ones to interview him said "and what can you do for us Richard?", he promptly dropped his trousers and bent over.

Who brought Brittain on board? I’m starting to think her chairing the first board meeting may have been what’s this outstanding investigation whilst we’ve got a government paper on us & within a month were charged.

From a City fan's perspective I'll be delighted if we win and I would like to think that the club will go medieval with the Premier League and it's cronies.

from a rivals perspective, I would imagine it'll go something like this:

If we win the case they'll say we paid (cheated) the panel off.

If we lose they'll say we cheated and I told you so.

The majority of fans of the red cartel have already made up their minds or more accurately the British media have made up their minds for them.

When you've been drip fed the narrative of MCFC equals cheats for over two years it tends to stick in the psyche.

common sense isn't that common these days and most people are very easily influenced.

it's very rare you'll meet a person who is open minded. Anyone who says that they are open minded tend to have very strong opinions.

It will be interesting to hear we’ve paid the premier league off whilst being awarded substantial expenses for the APR case.

You have to ask what was the reason for him doing this interview and why has he chose to do it now?
Is this to start the ball rolling for the news to come out about the 115?

Seems very odd to just do this out of the blue and to not answer any questions about us.
Certainly you need financial reasons and knowledge if one choose to be interviewed by Bloomberg. I recall Mr K being interviewed by USA version of Bloomberg? and it was totally to do with investment decisions.

The comparison does Mr M no favors at all.

He likes to mention there’s a rule book for clubs to follow, non of them pressed him on the fact that the rule book was illegal between 2021 to 2024. The amendments to make sure the rules were compliant with English law didn’t go far enough to do that but they still went through with a vote to bring in rules which weren’t deemed legal, even when one club told them not to vote on them.

He should have lost his job for that fiasco but is still there delivering the state of the nation address on the eve of another Premier League season. Hopefully this will be his last and will probably be driving the Post Office into the ground this time next year as their new ceo.
seeing as though i only get one delivery a week, and thats ususally on a Sunday afternoon (????), i'm not sure how much worse he could make the Post Office / Royal Mail, but i'd bet he could give it a try

Nobody (KCs on both sides included) knows (or rather as of the time when I got this information, knew) when the decision will be/would be made. There was an initial expectation (it doesn't seem that was based on anything other than general experience ie not from the IC itself) around March/April but that came and went. This information was from multiple sources earlier in the Summer so it is possible more guidance has now been given but I am minded to think it remains a black box. As you'd imagine, various very senior parties (lawyers and principals) have been on holiday and will be on holiday - they are not simply cancelling everything pending a decision. Obviously, as ever, believe what you like.
This. The boring truth.

Exactly, the only people to declare a timeline have no involvement in the process and little or no experience in the process (Pep FFS!). Given this it's odd that people get annoyed when a moment in time comes and goes without a judgement. It also continues to frustrate me that it's discussed on sports pages written by football correspondents when it clearly belongs on business/law pages written by people who have relative experience in such matters.

You can flip those the other way for City fans. The majority of City fans have already made their minds up that we're completely innocent. The reality is there isn't enough evidence in the public domain for anyone on either side to be sure.
Opposing fans didn't need the media to help them decide, they would have taken anything as to why are achievements aren't valid.

There is enough evidence to show that the premier league treats stakeholders differently.

Even if there is that isn't evidence directly related to the case.

No but as I’m saying there is evidence for City fans to believe the process has been motivated to find Citt guilty at the bequest of rivals. There is no evidence of City being motivated to negotiate a settlement with the premier league.

You think most fans of opposing clubs believe there is evidence of a corrupt verdict against City? Of course not they will insist (and do insist) there is evidence to find City not guilty. The fact remains their isn't evidence of either in the public domain. If you think you would have the same beliefs if you weren't a City fan your deluding yourself.
I have no idea what your settlement comment relates to.

I do love the idea that opposing fans will be convinced we’ve ’paid them off’ should we be largely exonerated. One of those fans even told me we’d likely get found guilty on a couple of minor issues so it ‘wouldn’t look obvious we’d paid someone off’.
And yet, we couldn’t pay them off to make it go away either before it even started or much much sooner than now!!!

That's a point that has merit. We had been found not guilty by CAS and nobody was expecting the PL to bring charges but when they did they were just going through the motions of a farce trial.

We need to make a new citeh bingo card

The fallout from rival fans will be a joy to see.

Don’t forget that the APT case statement revealed that Masters ignored his own lawyers’ advice when he pressed ahead with the unlawful rule changes. A mistake that has cost his organisation many millions of pounds already….and could get worse with more action pending.
He’s a patsy. Nearly 60 years old he has racked up 30 years with the England/Wales Cricket Board, Football League and Prem. He’s set for life with the certainty of numerous non-Exec roles to come. He will slide away having done his job- the bidding of the istory clubs.

The more I hear him speak and read what he does the more I’m convinced the only authority he has is the frequency of teabag deliveries. There is no way he directs and imposes control on the Prem.

Mad isn't it, I had this after CAS. I asked why an impartial sporting court of law would be taking back handers yet UEFA, a very clearly dodgy organisation would not. Same now with this, The Premier League, who have since been found to bringing in unlawful rules, twice, wouldn't take a brown envelope but a panel would. It is their defence mechanism if the lies they have been fed turn out to be false. We are still guilty, we just bought our way out.

That’s been my default response to the muppets who say we’ll pay them off

MCFC is biggest threat the premier league as have ever seen.

We have single handedly desecrated the original top four which was "The Brand"

As a result of years of success on and off the field and sweeping up countless trophies the red cartel are in a tale spin.

The rags have become a laughing stock, the dippers have had to resort to spending over £300,000,000.00 in the hope of defending their title and the tarquins are still banging on about their invincibility.

This is just another tactic to slow our progress. The premier league and the red cartel have accepted they can't stop MCFC, but if they can put up the occasional road block it gives them a sense of satisfaction.
