PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It won’t be out if they are completing the process. Maybe it’s impossible but I’m not sure why the parties would insist on many more months or years of litigation if it can resolved / accepted in one go.

Yeah, anything is possible, and I’m no expert. It just seems far less plausible that they’re now going through sanction hearings / appeals as opposed to the result just not being out.

Right, dont shoot the messenger, I'm only passing on what I heard from someone at the club.
He told me that the announcement was definitely not made last week.

Well with the Rags having turned a corner or was it won a corner the media are so distracted now with their title push not to mention the anticipation around the FAC 3rnd draw in the New Year and the campaign to get SlabHead nominated for the Baffoon Dior it is feasible the the announcement may well have happened last week and in the aftermath of El Plastico we all missed it

Well I don’t have the original email, but Stefan does, he’s looked at the meta data and believes it’s real. Unless there’s anything to suggest otherwise, then that’s the best evidence available as to whether it’s genuine/hoax.
Not saying it’s a hoax mate.

I’m saying we can’t take it seriously as there’s no universe in which a KC is going to reveal anything at all about this case to a random member of the public, by email.

Of course he’s going to say there’s been no decision yet. It’s the only way he can answer without revealing anything.

It does seem odd that no broad timescales were agreed in advance by the parties and that nothing has been communicated to the huge number of stakeholders involved including us fans. The PL commissoned this panel and has to pay them. There must have been some discussions about timescales and potential costs so they could budget properly. Or is this just another example of total incompetence by the PL?
PL certainly threw the kitchen sink at City. Looks like emotion was driving them at the time. Certainly an indicative timescale once they'd had the primary deliberations after the hearing. Maybe it's more complex than we realise, but silence is not golden. It's been a PR disaster for all concerned.

Pannick was under zero obligation/expectation to respond so if he didn’t want to reveal anything there was an even easier way of doing it…

If the email is genuine it would be utterly bizarre (as if the situation isn’t bizarre enough) that Pannick decided to respond and not tell the truth - that they’re still waiting for the result.

I don’t have Pannick down as a wum, but maybe they’re all sat in the chambers having a good laugh at this thread!!

And that emotion was fear, the sense of dread they felt when they realised how successful we had become. We were champions of England at all age groups, we were nailed on favourites to win the UCL (and did), only the dips looked remotely like stopping us from another PL title (and they didnt) and with Messi and Ronaldo on the wane we had signed the next global superstar for just £51m. Commercially, we had achieved club record revenues and profits. The PL absolutely shit their collective panties big time. And in full pre IFR panic mode Masters crumbled under pressure from that devious litte shit Levy and pressed the 115 go button.

At what point will it become more plausible to you than it just naturally taking a long time? There must come a tipping point. Personally, I'm not completely there yet, but I am much closer to it than I was three months, even one month ago.

The likelihood of something going on that we don't know about increases with each passing week, even taking into account what the ITKs tell us they have been told.

The email from Pannick says they are still waiting for the result. Don’t think there’s any guesswork required - the result just isn’t out yet.

:) Never trust anything from that profession without analysing exactly what was said. If it happens that everyone knew the outcome months ago, he would be able to say "well yes, but we didn't have the verdict, and as so we didn't know what was in it". They spend half their lives defending or prosecuting things they know for a fact aren't true, or likely aren't true, after all.

Although taking so much care in a reply to a football fan is hugely counter-intuitive to me. As is the fact he replied at all. Weird all round, actually, which also sets spider-senses tingling.

Before all the lawyers on here, take offence, I agree that the above is the most likely analysis, even now. But I won't be basing that entirely on the words of any lawyer.
