PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Just wait until the verdict drops, this thread hasnt really got going compared to whats coming on this thread.
We will probably be put in a queue just to get a ticket with a number on, when that number comes up we will then be able to post on this thread!! The wait to reach your allocated number could be just as long as the wait we are enduring to hear the final verdict. Its going to be total chaos for at least 48hrs I would suggest.

It's basically a Newcastle journo from the Ipaper speculating, then the Reach Empire (covers most publications, MUEN,Mirror Star etc etc ) regurgitated it to cover space as supposed new news.
Same old drivel, same old Beano writers !
See you all same time next week.
The story is more likely to appear on here first or, as last time, from someone like Ian Cheeseman. The MUEN and its owners are an industry laughing stock. One of their senior staff recently called out his bosses as “charlatans.” It was a rare true statement from the discredited Reach organisation.

PL certainly threw the kitchen sink at City. Looks like emotion was driving them at the time. Certainly an indicative timescale once they'd had the primary deliberations after the hearing. Maybe it's more complex than we realise, but silence is not golden. It's been a PR disaster for all concerned.
Not for you it’s not!

Who's going to be ticket 115?

I’d say that’s

Lawyers are masters of deflection and manipulation.

You’re going to think I’m really naive now, but…

I do think there’s probably a sense of sympathy for fans behind the scenes at City (and therefore also legal) about the whole 115 situation and uncertainty around the process/timeline.

If Pannick has the opportunity to throw us a bone and give us a bit of a steer, maybe he thought “why not?” and City would have no objections as long as it didn’t jeopardise the case.

Maybe there’s some Machiavellian games at play with his email, but seems more likely it’s just him giving us a steer.

At what point will it become more plausible to you than it just naturally taking a long time? There must come a tipping point. Personally, I'm not completely there yet, but I am much closer to it than I was three months, even one month ago.

The likelihood of something going on that we don't know about increases with each passing week, even taking into account what the ITKs tell us they have been told.

The problem is it’s impossible to know, even for someone with legal experience, nevermind a layperson like me.

That’s why I’m reverting to the only “evidence” we have which is the Pannick email.

You’re right though, the longer it goes on the more the gut will start telling us something else must be at play…

The PL and the media have got a lot to answer for regarding this delay.

The fact that they've leveled a ridiculous amount of charges at MCFC gives the panel a legitimate reason to make such a protracted verdict.

If the club were charged with five counts of financial irregularities as opposed to 115 then I would imagine the members of the panel would have released their findings by now.

The sheer number of charges would suggest a scatter gun approach to finding some financial misdemeanor within the accounts.

The issue the PL will have if we're exonerated from all charges (or even face a small fine for none cooperation) is the optics surrounding this witch hunt. They have potential left themselves open to significant and damaging consequences.

Yup, not like when I worked there as Mirror Group, and we had the bastion of goodness that was Captain Bob Maxwell, (not forgetting his offsprings too) leading us ;-)
