PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Not so sure about sporting reasons - international breaks and the like - though. If the panel cared that much about sporting implications they would have got a fucking move on to save us from all this waiting.
How do you know they aren't getting a fucking move on?

Like i insisted, there was no timeline suggested when this started, so in my opinion it cannot be called overdue.

They will likely have had other already-planned work commitments along the way and could well be doing their absolute utmost best to get our result typed up when they have the chance.
In their minds they might be ahead of schedule, nobody knows.

My question is this.

I wonder if slbsn will still dine out with Jordan after this is all over????
He’s clearly got a lot to offer in terms of expertise in his field. And we aren’t the only club going through an investigation. Plus financial rules will always be a subject in modern football. And good luck to him.

The main question should be, how can you not punch the slimy gobshite in the face the moment he spouts his shit, the guy nearly ruined Crystal Palace; he should have zero credit in anything to do with finances.

Ya got me. I'm lying.

Welcome to the Ignore list.

There are 'more likely and less likely times' is quite different from 'they will choose and agree a time that is convenient'.

I am with SR on this one, think it will drop when it's ready, bar statutory holidays. Doubt they will wait for an international break if done, doubt they will rush to make one if not.

Obviously just my take, not a 'this I know' claim thst lots of others seem to have fwiw.

Not sure what your point is. I said in the first paragraph of my post that this will drop when it's ready, after a number of days for review by the parties. I am not trying to imply the panel are dragging their feet.

My point in the second paragraph that you quoted was that if I think it drops when it's ready I am hardly likely to think the panel will be taking sporting considerations into consideration in the timing. If they were that worried about sporting considerations then they would have expedited the process because the length of time it's taking is much more damaging to the sport and the reputations of the two parties than releasing the damn thing in an international break or not.

So my conclusion was that it drops when the panel finishes it and they won't give a single toss about sporting considerations. Is that clearer?

I suppose, possibly the two parties could co-ordinate a short delay in the publication date but I am struggling to imagine circumstances where both parties would want to delay, tbh. And we would hear some details about it during the delay in all probability, anyway.

I would love to smack that posh little wet wipe

I have always wondered if the time line is affected by if any allegations are proven and that the public will only find out when everything has been considered and sanctions applied.

Only think this as people have said there would be further tribunal/meetings (part b) if anything is proven and releasing info after part a before b just leaves people wondering what will happen. Of course with no part b the time line would just be part a is taking this long.

As frustrating as the wait is and also the lack of clarity as to when a decision will come out, the panel will have to bear in mind 12 weeks of arguments/counter arguments during the tribunal and loads and loads of documentary evidence. They won't just be referring to the 5 emails like Magic Hat. The panel will then have to discuss everything and we have no idea what everything is because the 115 charges were not specific enough to be certain.

I wonder if there have been some points of law that have been incredibly complex which have been difficult for the panel? Maybe a panel member has been ill? Also, how well drafted are the PL rules - will this have made things more difficult?

It could be next year? No-one knows...

In a sport that's watched by millions, from a PR point of view this whole process has been a disaster for the PL and for City.

Its been 11 months since the tribunal ended and we can only guess when the decision may come out.

In the meantime, while I wait for this shitshow to end, I will continue to dance and shake my maracas.

You've got the wrong end of the stick due to your obvious confirmation bias.

I've corrected that for you.

There’s no way they’d manage to keep it quiet.

Article about it in the poorly named 'Independent' by Delaney this morning. Says absolutely fuck all.

It’s got to the point that nobody can see through the wood for the trees.

This is what happens when you try to conger up evidence of alleged financial malpractice from over 15 years ago. I would think that even the panel are reading their findings and cannot clearly determine for themselves , one way or the other any , any clear links to either guilt or innocence .
In that case , we arrive at this point today no nearer to resolution.

What an absolute shambles from the Premier League this has been.

Nothing more than a smear campaign with financial greed tinged with more than a touch of institutional racism thrown in for good luck.

It’s fuckin boring now to us blues, let alone the rest of the football fraternity ( other than the red shirts and the yid army).

A smear campaign, nothing more, nothing less.

They don’t need to determine innocence.

I think we might just notice when Rochdale rock up for the opening game of next season :-)

I do think she’s mixed up in it. Despite 4 years of back & to & the charges going nowhere she turns up & we are hammered within weeks. I think we’ll be cleared & want a clear out but the spin could be, they failed to nail us so are incompetent & need to go. Same result but subtle media spin.
Most certainly our owners will have sussed her involvement out one way or the other

The club is run by highly successful eminent businessmen.
Businessmen being the key word.
Khaldoon has come out and given a strong denial. He knows what has been alleged and what has or hasn’t occurred.
If he had a serious doubt about the result he would’ve been quieter and cut a deal asap
Just my opinion I could be wrong but I suspect not guilty all teh main charges some fine for lack of compliance with the investigation like last time

Posted once before doing so this morning out of continued frustration

But I’m sure the “verdict” ie the testing of all the allegations was completed a long time ago

I’m on a 40/60 opinion that 60% of the time lines have been consumed by negotiation on mitigations to protect the product itself and specifically the potential consequences and collateral ie lawsuits etc

Which in my opinion and evidenced by our behaviour and continued growth for the last two years in particular is a indicator we were proved correct in all our businesses and conduct a long time back

Edited make that 20/80
