PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I am not sure how this thread has morphed into a "cleared" , or " guilty" position.

The discussion should always have been about which and how many charges we will be found culpable of on balance.

As long as the ones we lose are minor, and not in any way fraudulent, then the book can be finally closed.

The media will be able to say we are guilty, Delaney, Jordan, and the others can say they were right all along and City can get back to winning trophies.

Wtf has this got to do with the price of bread??

Thought the same

Here is what its all about

In the parking lot right outside the Screwfix store in Brixton, London. Undercover officers are trying to arrest a big, shirtless, bearded man suspected of dealing Class A drugs. The takedown turned into a proper scrap on the tarmac next to a black-and-orange Woodflame Drainage van, and the drugs went everywhere as they tried to arrest him.

Cool nothing new there then. Still the same question applies

I"m calling bollocks that nobody knows the decision if this had gone well for the premier league dickie masters would be driving round certain premier league grounds in a pope mobile by now .The silence is deafening i think we will find out the decision during the wc what do they say about burying bad news

Was thinking about this earlier. I dont think people know the official decision, but I do think word will have got round about how it all seemed to go.

I'm reminded of how united seem to be backing us under new part-ownership and how other cartel clubs seem to have 'lost' board members.

Then I think of how Chelsea seem to have received such a small punishment mainly because it was down to previous owners.

My current 2+2 says that it's not just the PL that has come out badly, but other clubs too, and they are getting their "decisions made by previous owners/board members" defence ready.

Whether this 2+2 = 4 or whether it's coming out at 427 I have no idea, but I've got my positive hat on today.

If we were as guilty as everyone non-City related says, then surely this would be easy to prove and the verdict would be out by now.

Tolmie says its due after the end of the season and before the world cup. Interesting.

I like Tolmie, and he clearly has connections within the club. With that in mind, if he can confidently say that the verdict will be made public within this small window then wouldn't that suggest that the club either know what the verdict is and there is an agreement between City and PL to release it after the season, or at the very least it will mean that the club have been informed that this window is when they will recieve the verdict?

Not sure of Tolmie's connections but would it not suggest the former? I can't imagine hes best mates with all the KCs on the case.

Did he say it's due, or did he say he 'thinks' it'll be due at the end of the season?

This was the tweet he put out: “There is increased belief within the Club an announcement on the 115 tribunal will come 'within days' of the end of the Premier League and certainly before the World Cup starts. Confidence remains high City will be cleared of any wrongdoing.”

Ah, that one - I thought this was something new he'd posted.
So basically 'increased belief' i.e. we know nothing more

I THINK he said there was "a growing feeling" that we would get the result then and that there was " growing confidence" that we would have breached no regulations. I can't guarantee that I have remembered completely accurately and I think this is such an important contribution that I hope someone can post Tolmie's tweet on here so we can check'

Can you imagine the shitshow thus would cause if we were found guilty of the most serious charges? A big number if our players would be at the world cup with their potential futures in doubt.
