Yeah I think he'll be limited to domestic competition this year.

He could still get plenty of experience in the league, league cup and FA Cup before January though, and you never know, if he does really well he might replace someone for the KO rounds.

Denayer is u21 (well he was at the start of 2016) so his homegrown status isn't relevant at present. I was under the impression he'd never actually class as home grown as he needs 3 full years at City before he turns 21, and he joined City in July 2013 and turned 21 in June 2016, so he falls short by approx. 1 month.

3 years or 3 seasons Matty, he qualifies.
 
And it just means we can only name 21 players in the UCL A list.

Update on this with the Hart situation. If we buy Bravo to replace Hart, we're ok on the PL squad as we only need to lose Bony, Mangala and Nasri.

But we need to lose 5 foreign players from the CL squad for the group stage. So it would be those three plus (I suspect) Zinchenko and we'd have to lose one other foreign player.
