Plans for East/West Stands level 2

Cant believe this I am in the same position 5600 points and a seat in East 209

What if --- only a suggestion ---- the whole of level 2 east and west try to relocate on the first possible date ---lets call it a Mutiny
I am sure the club would get the message.

I stll believe that the club are not telling us enough about the potential future price hike and once again Gary Cooks communications are piss poor

I would like to think that because the club are doing this the plans to expand are well underway, if the 'prawn sandwich' sections pay-off the displaced 1000's will need somewhere to sit, sadly for one season that will be at home in front of the TV.

It's going to happen whether we like it or not, but i cant see there being many full houses for that season.
Ideally in the close season 2011-12 the expansion will me made. The 1000's of forgotten blues can come home and the stadium will return to full voice.

I'm gonna bump this topic right back to the top..such is my dismay at these intentions. This time last year it was being mooted that we may have massive price drops or even better, season ticket holders of over 25 years getting free season tickets. Now I know that free season tickets wasn't ever going to happen but a price hike from one of the richest guys to loyal (and hard up) fans really is a bit much to swallow..

As I stated earlier in this thread...the real priority for real supporters in an attempt to create some atmosphere (Operation One End) has now been well and truly fucking ditched for the prawn sandwich brigade....

Well and truly shamefull......

I e-mailed the club last week and asked how can I make a decision if they wont tell me what the cost will be for 2011/2012.

I've received a reply tonight that says that all season card holders in the areas affected will be sent a letter next week with all the information for 2011/12 season

Can you believe that the club sent the survey to all season card holders who they had an email contact. We have 32,000 season card holders and the club received 10,000 responses. Anybody who works in media will know that even if they emailed all 32,000 (which they won't have) to get a 1 in 3 response is unheard of.........My guess is that tickets will cost in the region of £800+ where currently they cost circa £500.

Just shows you how quickly they can move when ther's corporate dosh invoved as opposed to sorting out the traditional supporters and creating a real atmosphere by pushing and creating Operation One End....

I fear the fucking worst..

Well perhaps this will get more vocal people in the "singing" sections. After all by the amount of noise they're making about this, they'd be welcome in the South Stand.

The view/experience on level 2 is awesome and by far the best in the ground. So by my reckoning then they should be the "premium" seats and therefore command "premium" prices. It's common sense. We have to be a viable concern with or without the Sheik's investment!

People have had a good deal out of the club so far at COMS and are being offered an excellent deal by being offered the £250 value ticket which will let them see the stadium from other areas and then if they like it in a particular place, then stay there for next season. I'm sorry but all this "We've sat in the same places for 40 years" crap is just whingeing and NIMBYism on the grandest scale. It's not like the club are saying you can't renew, they're giving you the option of staying and coughing up what is the going rate or moving at a discount. What more can they do?

The City of Manchester Stadium isn't your living room. You don't have a right to your seat but you certainly have a right to be offered a reasonable alternative. And that IMO is what you've got.

If I had the chance at a Value ticket, I'd jump at it. £250 is awesome value.

Plus if I had the money and I wanted the best seat in the house, I'd be there in a shot. The seats will be taken because there is demand. Like it or lump it.

so if you are a North Stand refugee and move into level 2 west stand at extra cost does this mean that you are soon going to get moved again and have to pay yet more money?

this whole thing could have been better planned and far better communicated

The cost has been announced for next season (£550 ish) but the communication that's coming out next week should inform us of what the cost will be for 2011/2012.

If you have a season card for level 2 in the East stand or Colin Bell you will have the choice to stay there although at a vastly increased cost.

this is a major concern for me too

1) We can't currently fill the corporate area (colin bell level 2).

2) Can we honestly justify two corporate areas of that size

3) Can we honestly fill those areas

and finally, but most importantly

4) What room is left for the average working person attending football with no kids

basically there pricing out the working class fans

and for people that say stop moaning if you want to watch city now, you have to pay more why?

why do we have to be like the rest of the top four it might not effect people but like most city fans they just cant afford these prices

why do hell do the club with the richest owners in the world have to charge these prices

also i dont see how this will help they atmosphere cos the prawn sandwich brigade dont sing you go to utd or arsenal their atmospheres are a disgrace
