Plans to greet OUR Champions at the first home game

not seen any posts but its got to be...champione champione ole ole ole for the whole match at the first game and when the rags visit manchester we give them everything we have got!!

I've waited my whole life to sing "BRING ON THE CHAMPIONS" so I'll be belting that out regardless

No doubt I'll be drowned out by absurdly loud cheese from that flouncing ponce Ferris and his sidekicks

15 mins of "Bring on the champions, Bring on the champions, Bring on the champions" whilst twirling the scarves in the air.

Would be an awesome sight.

So we are now only 13 days from the fixtures being released and it got me thinking. How do we want to greet our Champoins when the return to the playing field.

What ideas do you lot have.

A sea of blue and white singing Blue Moon.

Bring out the Champions being sung 'the old style song' from the 60's

Our now famous Na Na Na Na NA Cityyyyyyy

Once again I dare say we will come up with a cracking idea for the lads to walk out to, but whatever it is, it has to be a deafening level of noise, not only to show our support but to again put the fear of god into visiting teams.
Remember we are still on an amazing run at home and we want it to carry on.

Ideas anyone :)

The question below has bothered me for a while to be honest.

Do some Blues actually think we've only recently started singing this?

us older fans was singing this in the 70s

it's possible to be home and away first and last, rare though unless you're man united.

We were home first and last this season!

good shout, we were LOL
Could be proved wrong but I think many more times than not the champions are at home first usually to a promoted side and at home last often to a promoted side. I am still convinced that we were given the rags fixtures last season - Swansea / QPR and another clue is that for the first time in many years the derby was at home second - usually we get it after Xmas near Feb at the swamp. Why was this? I think red nose saw his arse at the 6 away games immediately after Champs League and was either given a choice or asked for and was given a swap.
Lets see what happens this time round.

got to be BRING ON THE CHAMPIONS repeated for about 10 mins before they come out, just like the old days, electrifying

Having lost the community shield - the week before... we'll all be singing Mancini out!!! : )

What about a load of ticker tape...if you start cutting now it should be immense by the start of the season.
Ha Ha not a chance, fingers are still sore, thats for special occasions such as maybe the Champs Lge Semi Final, but we will wait and see. I agree with one of the replies I wouldn't expect the club to arrange anything It was just a thought as we seem to have come up with some great ideas the last couple of seasons. -- Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:40 pm --

It hasn't been sang on the same level as at the Derby for 30 years and it just seems to be a song all fans love to sing together for a change, maybe because they can remember the words even drunk :)

And dont forget all fans can sing this as there is no swearing. This then means the whole of the family stand in the north end can join in. Just a thought to bear in mind as I dont often hear all the family stand joining in on 'We lost last week..........we dont give a fuck cos we're all pissed up'. I dont mind the swearing in songs but when we want ALL the ground to join in then its worth bearing in mind. To their credit, when the family stand have joined in with songs the atmosphere is electric.
Really good point to be honest.
