They never check my identity when I exchange a worn out bag for a free new one so it is possible to leave them in your will so that your descendants can keep getting new bags for the rest of their lives.

I took the train to the Newcastle game on Saturday with a mate from work and my two boys. I normally drive but decided on the train because it was my birthday and I fancied a few beers. When I woke up in the morning, there was a note on the kitchen worktop from the missus saying "There's a bag of drinks and stuff in the fridge. Make sure you take it."

I've not looked into what effect it's had in neighbouring places such as Ireland.

You see at lot less of them lying around, most people just reuse the canvas ones now.
