Trust me, the yanks are not even the slightest bit concerned about anything Qatar are doing so long as they can have lots of fast pointy things within range of the Iranians. Its also a crucial hub for all operations in the region and the fact that CENTCOM has a major HQ presence there is nothing to be sniffed at. Sure they support the Saudi's but the drawdown of US forces there (and increase directly in Qatar) should tell you just about all you need to know.
Agree but the FIFA execs will be drip fed “inducements” on a regular basis until the WC goes ahead. FIFA needs dismantling and replacing by an Independent committee with the likes of Academics, Industrial bigwigs with a record of philanthropy and ex football people who have no skeletons in the cupboard, FIFA is rotten to the core and it beggars belief a Country like Qatar was given a World Cup when there were much more deserving hosts. I hope the fans boycott the tournament and leave Qatar with the shittiest football tournament ever.Still plenty of time for the 2022 World Cup to be played elsewhere,the alarm bells rang for me (Qatar getting it) when talk of then playing it nov-dec came to light.absolutely no way can it be played then..
