But that is the problem we have now, getting the worlds best players to join us really depends on CL qualification or the very real prospect of it. If we are barred from that competition because of our financial status players won't want to join us and leave which will put us back to square one. The doomsday scenario would be ADUG saying we haven't a big enough worldwide interest in us to break even financially and walking away putting us in deep shit.

But money talks Rammy...these clubs in the champs league will have wage caps and so forth..
limited transfer kittys...so what happens when big players want a move ?? do they think of champs league glory in a diminished competetion or their financial wellbeing..

maybe,,or Udug buys loads of banks who have loaned cash to football clubs.They then call in the debt closing down Rags,barca,etc etc.......we can dream

Sure thsi has been said already but my thoughts :

- Sounds like this will almost certainly breach EU fair trade / monopoly laws. UEFA could end up in court - for years.

- The premier league have already said they are against this and will object (As its deliberately targeting UK clubs)

- With financial regulations there are always loop holes.

But the biggest issue I can think of is its a minimum of 3 years before this comes in.

So what happens if one of our big 4 clubs get knocked out of the champions league quali spots in that time ?

Liverpool, Arsenal and Rags need that money to survive (And also according to Platini for their turnover etc to make them eligible)

So what happens to those clubs if they loose champions league football ? Real wont meet these rules neither will half of he Italian clubs.
