Isnt there a business law to stop monopolies dominating a particular area in any market place. For example Lloyds bank couldnt buy every bank because they could then do what they liked. Isnt that similar to UEFA seemingly shutting up shop and saying 'these clubs can play in this competion because we finance them through our 'prize' money and that way they stay self-sufficent. And all clubs outside the Chumps League will NEVER be able to drum up them finances without outside investment so we'll ban it.

It will NEVER get through in my opinion and the sooner this glorified administrater fucks off the better

let them pass a law where the Chumps league money is distributed evenly amongst all prem teams the same with tv money...then see what happens.

The money that has been invested in city also benefits other football clubs such as the lescott transfer everton are quids in on that one any other club and it would have been half the fee , that in turn helps there debt out and buy another decent player to replace lescott all this money city are putting into other clubs can only benefit football .

He can keep his corrupt Champions League gig. If we win the league by 2012 but get refused entry to the CL the tournament will be devalued anyway. It will be on channel 5 with David Pleat by 2013.

my thinking too..we could also offer bigger better wages than the clubs abiding by the uefa rules ensuring that the top players will come to us ...devaluing the chavs league even more.

But that is the problem we have now, getting the worlds best players to join us really depends on CL qualification or the very real prospect of it. If we are barred from that competition because of our financial status players won't want to join us and leave which will put us back to square one. The doomsday scenario would be ADUG saying we haven't a big enough worldwide interest in us to break even financially and walking away putting us in deep shit.

the EU and Uefa can moan all they want, the football clubs are now companies. to impose a spending limit based on turnover would be against any nations trade laws. you couldnt stop any other buisness owner from investing their money however they see fit.
