I thought Haaland was nailed on but I went for Rodri for his importance throughout the season, the fact he is the best DM in the world and he scored in Istanbul!!! Was in prem team of the season and was huge in FA Cup.

In any normal season it would have been John Stones.

What an incredibly elegant, intelligent footballer.

His usual commanding self when playing CB but his stints as a CM, particularly in games against the very best opposition, were incredibly impressive.

You simply do not see CB’s taking the piss at CM in CL semis and finals. It just isn’t a thing.

In any normal season minus John Stones it would’ve been Nathan Ake.

Cool as ice, consistent as fuck, dependable as fuck and a wonderfully dominant partnership with Grealish. This kid is at least an 8.5/10 every fucking game.

However, it’s not been any normal season.

Haaland has literally demolished every goal scoring record the Premier League has seen and scored over 50 goals in the season.

That is ridiculous.

To do that as a 22 year old kid in his first season in the league is beyond ridiculous.

The other 2 lads have been incredible but Haaland has been otherworldly.

Interestingly, Ederson aside, they started most games as well. Rodri and Haaland had 34 and 33 PL starts respectively. From the other players only Gundo had over 25 PL starts in 22/23.

The hardest thing in football is to put the ball into the back of the net.

Love Haaland's work ethic, enthusiasm, team-player attitude and willingness to pass if that's the best option instead of taking speculative low-chance shots.

Now that we've won the C/L, and have the world's best manager and team, I hope that Haaland is satisfied and at least lessens his desire to play for Real Madrid.
