Not sure what you were watching.

He was our only competive midfielder. He put in a massive shift and had to because the game passed lampard by and You're was poor again.

Might not be apparent if you're watching on TV but at the game you can see that the only City midfielders closing the ball down are Fernando and Fernandinho.

No argument he was attempting to close the ball down, but didnt do it effectively enough - and he cost us a goal.
And just because lampard and toure werent great doesnt make Fernando any better. TBF, Lampard was making plenty of run but often wasnt found.

As for Fernandinho, absolutely, he should start every game left this season
lampard was a passenger. Likewise Toure yet we running down a player who really put a shift in today. Fernando has been really effective for weeks now, but some people wont see it because they made their mind up about him 6 months ago just like they did with Garcia
Do they use him as a dummy wall in training?

Fairly poor again, but hardly alone in that.

Even though he's done so little to impress, I'm still prepared to slightly reserve judgment. The ridiculously big gap between defence and attack makes life incredibly difficult for all our midfielders.

There is no attack half the time as Aguero comes so deep.

We're struggling on the ball in midfield as the only ball that's ever on is the one to Navas. And when we don't have the ball, Fernando is the only player capable of even getting close to the ball.

Every aspect of City's play from the forwards to the defensive side is slipping and we keep looking at individual players. The answer is on the touchline. Standards are slipping

I'm talking about when we don't have the ball. The gap between front and back is far, far too big, the upshot being that there are acres of space 'between the lines'. It's why (or rather one of the main reasons why) we are so easy to play against

He's fucking gash mate

I like him. Upgradeable, but I like him.

Valuable squad member next season with a year of growing pains in English football under his belt.

Not for me.

Is a £12m player in a team of £30m players and looks like it as the right value.

Not really sure what he did today, not saying he played bad but I don't recall him making many tackles or interceptions.
