Fairly poor again, but hardly alone in that.
Even though he's done so little to impress, I'm still prepared to slightly reserve judgment. The ridiculously big gap between defence and attack makes life incredibly difficult for all our midfielders.

We're struggling on the ball in midfield as the only ball that's ever on is the one to Navas. And when we don't have the ball, Fernando is the only player capable of even getting close to the ball.
Every aspect of City's play from the forwards to the defensive side is slipping and we keep looking at individual players. The answer is on the touchline. Standards are slipping

I'm talking about when we don't have the ball. The gap between front and back is far, far too big, the upshot being that there are acres of space 'between the lines'. It's why (or rather one of the main reasons why) we are so easy to play against

Might not be apparent if you're watching on TV but at the game you can see that the only City midfielders closing the ball down are Fernando and Fernandinho.
No argument he was attempting to close the ball down, but didnt do it effectively enough - and he cost us a goal.
And just because lampard and toure werent great doesnt make Fernando any better. TBF, Lampard was making plenty of run but often wasnt found.
As for Fernandinho, absolutely, he should start every game left this season

Poor again...may look better in a different formation next season but looks a bad/dreadful value purchase at the moment.

Is a £12m player in a team of £30m players and looks like it as the right value.
