He is a defensive midfielder, not the next Iniesta.

He does the dirty work, on the quiet and does it effectively.

There is a reason why he is rated in the game and why he gets picked weekly.

Not really sure what he did today, not saying he played bad but I don't recall him making many tackles or interceptions.

Made that all important block from Kane when Demi fucked up.

^ What dirty work? He didn't win a single tackle today and has very low tackle completion rate for a specialist holding midfielder. All he does is follow the opponent and often gets left behind. He's been very disappointing besides a few performances. Fernandinho isn't even a 'real' holding midfielder and makes more tackles and interceptions than Fernando, who is a specialist holding midfielder. Let's hope he has a better second season because this is a position we could really upgrade.

Nope, that was Hart making a save.

Not everyone's ideal Defensive midfielder but he does his job without a minimum of fuss.

Thought he did ok again today, the system we're playing obviously suits him better. Still fairly limited though - we need a much better passer of the ball in that position long term

Agree with this. Shocking really if he didn't win a single tackle today for a defensive midfielder.

You do a great job posting info about City , that's where your contribution should end as your knowledge of the playing side is not the best

Oh well thought he blocked first then though Hart saved then the commentator said it was a block, got me all confused :(.
