Player thread: Gael Clichy (2014/15)

unfortunately he's turned a very good 2015 into a bit of a howler with that amateurish red card. the first yellow card was a bizarre turn of slowness while the 2nd was a weird lazy waft of a leg. silly man, a poor display but there is no way he shouldnt have started. let himself and the team down.
 
I think Messi had run him that ragged he was knackered.

It was a poor decision by him to make that type of challenge and it cost us as at that point I could see us scoring.

Messi was excellent tonight. Almost unplayable.

This, second half was going well and because of his red we had to take our main creator off and also lose a man, defending with 11 was hard enough.

Yep and by all accounts most the game had his number, I think Clichy was just fucked by the end.
 
The wide midfield have to work to get back and protect the full backs otherwise they eventually end up legless
Nasri and Silva just dont do it
What Silva did on the second goal summed it up, pulled away from a player he should of been busting a gut to close down
 
Sagna is good enough to replace him at Camp Nou, not worried too much about his red. Was stupid though.
