Player thread: Gael Clichy (2014/15)

He is having a great season and he is my candidate for player of the month.

I'm not Clichy's biggest fan but I agree with this. Extend that across the entire defense too. Just keep the same sodding back line.

One of the comments I made yesterday to my son - a stable back four allows each one to have confidence in their partners. Keep rotating and the confidence is not as high leading to indecision.
 
Yet again a class performance by clichy this season. Won every second ball and made sure he made a tackle when it was available,otherwise stood the player up. Incredible performance, the best of a left back city have had in a long time. Played intricately and also got rid when needed.

Most improved player this season and his form has coincided with our results.even offering himself going forward. Must keep him at the club.

Kolarov in next week then
 
Our most improved player this season IMO. Was top drawer yesterday.

Was let down a couple of times by Milner (for someone who works so hard Jimmy sometimes has the positional sense of a Sunday league player).
 
He played very well . Could have maybe done a bit better for their goal when he was easily muscled off the ball but other than that did well.

Definitely won the left back position from Kolarov and back to his best form of 2012
 
Best left back in the league this season, Bertrand from So'ton not far behind.

Consistently playing solid, defensively and going forward. We need to keep a consistent pair of centre halves with Zab & Gael.
 
I have nothing but respect to any defender who go on chasing lost cause on 90+ minutes.
