Sagna's still very good defensively and I think he proved that pretty much against Bayern. But whilst he goes forward just as much as Zabaleta and still cannot offer anything offensively, he will hardly be that valuable ever to us. Such a quality backup though.

Agree Sagna looked good defensively v Bayern. Zaba is still the main man at right back though.

dont know if it was b/c wednesday's LW was not tracking back, but Sagna was able to cut in and overlap with Navas today, something I never saw with Navas and Micah. I think a few more weeks and the chemistry will be much better

Sagna will settle into it. You have to remember that Zab has grown with this team in many different iterations; The man is part of the furniture here.

There is no any comment on his thread after today's game and of course he might wasn't involved in the attacking third that much as we were used to, but still I would say the usual very very strong performance from him. He just does tackles no one would as it looks impossible to win possession, yet he manages to win the ball and even passes it then to a teammate. A beast.

Very good performance but that could be easily said about any of the defenders.

Agree Sagna looked good defensively v Bayern. Zaba is still the main man at right back though.

Sagna has looked a very solid defender in all the games he has played. He also has been potent going forward in his Arsenal days, so once he has a few more games in his system, he will pick it up there also. Great backup to Zaba IMHO.

Whilst Sagna might have looked good defensively, I cant help but remember a number of crosses that he didnt stop getting into the box. A cardinal sin for a defender IMHO. Hopefully, he'll grow into the team but at the moment he's a long way from Zabba.

Sagna is very good back up, no question about that. But he is only that - backup, his crossing is particularly quite shit, which is surprising that at Arsenal I thought his crossing was good.
