Player thread: Pablo Zabaleta (2014/15)

All I can say, is that having read the messages in response to that, thank f*ck I don't bother with twitter.

I'd be very disappointed/gutted if we let our best RB go to get a midfielder, no matter how good he is, it would just mean that we'd another purchase, because Sagna is nowhere near the level we should aspire too, for those saying they can't understand why he didn't get more time last season, well having seen him, I don't know how he got so much.

We cannot let Zaba go. He hasn't the heights of previous seasons for us, but he's still got plenty left in him. I'd be fuming if we let either hart, zaba, kompany or aguero go. We need to keep our best players, not sell them.

Hart, Zaba, Aguero, Komp + Silva. I throw Yaya in there as well though I expect some will disagree with that.

To be fair, most of the replies on there are saying no to the possibility of Zab going.

I'm easy about Yaya, in March I'd have been happy to see him go, with the right replacement, but if we do keep him, and everything points to us doing so, and he can find form like 2013-14, then with some of those we're linked with, he'd still be an asset.

The other 5 are must keep for me.

Don't think Zaba would want to go anyway, himself and the missus seem pretty settled and happy in Manchester and their kid's still less than 6 months old.

To be fair I got to the "he bottled last season" comment, and I wasn't going any further.

I've always been of the opinion that 50% of twitter is f*ckwits that shouldn't have a place to voice an opinion, and each time I click on something city related on there, it just reinforces that view.

will all have to go at sometime
You never know they might retire here. We know Joe wants to based on what he's said recently, I've read similar statements from Zaba, and there's even statements from Yaya's arse of an agent.

"Pablo Zabaleta and other Manchester City stars have helped launch a Walking Football programme at the club, reports Sky Sports News HQ Vinny O'Connor.

Pablo Zabaleta says he will be happy to hang around well into retirement - if Manchester City let him.

"I see myself in maybe 50 years time playing here," he said.

It may have been a hint that he wants to see out his playing career at Manchester City."

It would be more of an issue if the child was 6 or 7 years old; going to school, lots of mates etc etc. It'd be a big upheaval for someone of that age. Now, it wouldn't be a big deal for the baby. But, if there is a God, let Zab stay with us.

It hasn't got the monicker "Twatter" by accident!
