Surely him playing well and scoring is making it worthwhile to them. That and their player of the year last year being free from us as well. Cheeky cunts.I think it makes sense to me. You've got to make the deal worthwhile for Celtic, and next season Pep will have a lot of work on his hands with the defence and midfield.
There's only so many new signings and youth players Pep can integrate at a time.
He'll come back only 20 - and I expect there is some sort of break clause as well, but it might cost us.
Doncha just love hindsight
Of courseIt's not hindsight. I was desperate to see him in the squad before he went to Celtic. His potential was always apparent

Yes. Though I wouldn't say it's blindness. I'd simply say it's an awareness that they currently have a player that is better than what they have at present and a player that they could not afford. From their point of view they don't need him to win the league this year and they could be developing one of their own promising young players instead - and they do have a couple in that position. Then after they push through the mistakes and inconsistent performances that ever young player puts in when they first break through, and he becomes a big player for them, he leaves for nothing and they have a massive hole in the team which they can't afford to replace properly.
It's not a great deal for Celtic or Celtic fans, if it were us, people wouldn't be happy, but there seems to be this blindness to it on the part of some on here.
It becomes a good deal for them if he can get them past the CL qualifiers or out of the Europa group stages. Then they at least get some tangible financial reward for having him.
(And even that benefits us as well because it g era him valuable experience)
