One thing we should perhaps consider is Navas might be able to play more centrally when needed. I think he has the talent to do so in a similar fashion to Nasri.
he has played in the hole for sevilla and Spain before, however it would best be described as 'doing a job', didn't look anywhere near his best (when I saw him there)
If the 8-week assessment is accurate, I could be happy with Navas doing a job. :)
So would I but I don't see that as a better first XI option, only for rotation, prefer Silva/Navas Silva/Milner to Navas/Milner Navas/Silva, he's best used on the touchline, Nasri's absence wouldn't be so bad if it turned out to be a watershed moment for Jovetic or Lopes in that position though.

Re: Samir Nasri

We should try and re-sign De Jong (or similar) to play alongside Fernandinho, and push Toure forward!

Re: Samir Nasri

Everyone going on about "the hole" and pushing Ya Ya forward has missed the crucial point: we play 4222 and Nasri plays wide. Navas or Milner would be like-for-like replacements. If we do go 4231 (Barca? Chelsea?) Silva will play behind the striker.

He couldn't replicate what Nasri does in a million years. He's quicker, but in the control, dribbling skills, change of direction, ball retention, vision and finishing departments, he's a country mile behind
