It's still hard to believe how well Samir has played this season. His return from injury is perfectly timed, and judging by his post-match interview he is going to be well and truly pumped up for the Barca game. I also think the added bonus is that Yaya lifts when Samir is on the pitch. They seem to be very good friends.
I think the combination of him, Merlin and Jovetic (with probably Alvaro as the spearhead) are going to create merry hell for the Barca defence.
Welcome back Samir. Keep on playing with a smile on your face!
The team spirit through the whole squad seem to be fantastic.
No moaning about not starting etc. Everyone of them fighting for the shirt, most getting game time, all wanting to be part of whatever this season is going to offer.
As bad as all our injuries have been this season, they've certainly helped everyone to get quite a bit of game time. I obviously don't know what Pellegrini would have done had everyone been fit, but even for the best man-manager, it's hard not to play your 'best' team most of the time if you have the option, and that necessarily leads to some level of dissatisfaction within a squad.
