Re: Samir Nasri
Samir Nasri has admitted he is "more pessimistic than optimistic" about going to the World Cup.
The Manchester City midfielder revealed coach Didier Deschamps has refused to explain why he was left out of the last two France squads.
But Nasri, who was also overlooked in 2010, insisted he should only miss out on Brazil because of his on-field performances.
The Frenchman was banned for three games after his behaviour at Euro 2012 - and has not been selected since the first-leg defeat in the World Cup playoff in Ukraine in November.
"For the moment, I'm more pessimistic than optimistic about the World Cup," he told Canal+.
"Against Netherlands (the last friendly), it was the last squad before the 30 are announced, and I haven't had an explanation.
"I remain circumspect, because I have never had a problem with anyone in the squad. I have asked to speak to the national team coach.
"For the moment, he hasn't accepted. When I'll have had that discussion, I'll know what is being held against me and what my problem is. I will respect his decision whatever."
Nasri has a strained relationship with the French press and one report claimed a delegation of players, including captain Hugh Lloris, demanded he was dropped after the Ukraine game.
But the former Marseille and Arsenal star insisted he is not a disruptive influence.
"In 2010, for the biggest scandal of the French national team, I wasn't there," Nasri said. "Yes, I have my way of behaving, but that's the way it is.
"If things aren't going well with the French national team, I can only see it's because of one thing, and that's that I perhaps wasn't up to scratch with my performances. All that about my behaviour isn't true.
"I've played in three different clubs and I've never had a problem with anyone. I concede that I wasn't up to scratch in certain games, notably against Ukraine. I didn't play well, but there were 11 of us on the pitch. All 11, we didn't play well."
