Re: Samir Nasri

Nasri did seem affected by the abuse he got at Arsenal.

The very best players should be able to go anywhere and play no matter what the circumstances. To win things like League Titles, European Cups City need a team full of players who play away from home exactly as they do at the Etihad and do not get affected\drawn off their game by the opposition crowd being elusive or simply vociferous.

Nasri is a good player, but can slow down City's game.

In some ways he can be like Dzeko, brilliant one game, poor the next.

Re: Samir Nasri

Some quotes from his interview to Sky (insert raging gooners gif), The old part made me laugh

"We have just started talks so far. We didn't find any agreement yet. But it should be sorted out.
"I want to stay. I can feel people appreciate me and the coach is trusting me.
"My departure from Arsenal? When you leave for a club where there is more money, you are supposed to be mercenary."
I took stock before I went to Manchester City, I was joining a club with Yaya Toure, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez."
"I spent three seasons at Arsenal without any title and at the end of the season we sold our best player that was Cesc Fabregas."
"I don't want to be disrespectful, but I had a meeting with Wenger who told me to not be worried, he signed Gervinho."
"I preferred to join City and won titles. And why not a second national title in three years? I'm very happy with my choice."

Playing extremely poorly since his injury. A concern. Both he and navas were poor at arsenal.

Since his injury??? He was man of the match in our cup win. He was the only player who gave f*ck all against Wigan in FA cup and scored. Assist against Fulham and assist against United. That's all in the month of March!

People are so prone to exaggeration. He did not do damage at Arsenal, but even then was far from being "extremely poor". And it's no secret that when he's forced out on the wing, he doesn't do well, just like Silva wouldn't. Neither are wingers, and I don't know why we would all of a sudden be taking freedom away from Nasri when he has played well all year.
He's not known as ''Dismal dave'' for no reason!

I've never been convinced by him. He has the odd good game but he just doesn't seem hungry enough to me. (success not food Tolmie!). If things are going his way and he's allowed a bit of room by the opposition he can be great, but when it comes to making the difference when the going gets tough he goes missing for me. It's one of the factors that seperates him from Silva. Replace him in the summer with Isco.
It is an April 1st posting, is it not?

Re: Samir Nasri

I would agree with the doubters ,he seldom sees any danger in the oppositions play never contributes enough when city are under pressure, to win with nasri he has to create or score goals because it will be guaranteed he will dawdling around doing nothing when a goal is conceded

Re: Samir Nasri

Most of his passes are sideways or backwards. This is because naturally he is a central midfielder. Someone who distributes the ball from the center rather than someone who wants to create a goal scoring chance for a striker.
