Re: Samir Nasri

Close to signing a new deal

"We have just started talks so far," he told Canal+. "We didn't find any agreement yet, but it should be sorted out.
"I want to stay. I can feel people appreciate me and the coach trusts in me."
Nasri has already lifted the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup with City and he hopes to add to that with another league title this season as City tussle at the top alongside Chelsea and Liverpool.
He added: "I took stock before I went to Manchester City, I was joining a club with Yaya Toure, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez.
"I spent three seasons at Arsenal without any title and at the end of the season we sold our best player that was Cesc Fabregas.
"I don't want to be disrespectful, but I had a meeting with Arsene Wenger who told me to not be worried, he signed Gervinho and he will get reinforcements.
"I preferred to join City and I won titles and indeed I earn a better living. And why not a second national title in three years?
"I am very happy with my choice."

Good on the lad, been a revelation this year

He has regressed in recent games as far as I can see.

He looks heavy and I do think the Arsenal weak mentality is still there?

Been great, no doubt, but we can't afford any passengers either physically or mentally in these last few weeks.

Perhaps the injury at Newcastle spooked him and he has pulled back on the throttle with the World Cup in mind.

He has to be careful, as he's no shoe-in for France.

Would keep him on the bench at Anfield and put Milner in.
I wouldn't....Play your best team and Nasri starts every time over Milner for me. Heavy hips or not....One quiet game at Arsenal and he has regressed?...Thought he was superb at OT.

Re: Samir Nasri

He wasn't influential, but he was still very good. Nothing really came off for him, this happens sometimes. He really let Yaya down by not continuing his run on the turnover that led to their goal.

He's still been superb for us and I'd love for him to sign a new contract. I hope that Lopes or another AM can push him and maybe we have more options in his position, but he's really filled his role and even played off the striker a bit as well this season.

Playing extremely poorly since his injury. A concern. Both he and navas were poor at arsenal.

Since his injury??? He was man of the match in our cup win. He was the only player who gave f*ck all against Wigan in FA cup and scored. Assist against Fulham and assist against United. That's all in the month of March!

Against Sunderland he didn't play that well, great strike but he offered nothing else. His main job is to create chances for the strikers and he didn't do it on that day.

As for Wigan, again he didn't do anything until we were 2-0 down. You can't switch yourself on when it's too late.

He started to play well after Fulham went down to 10 men.

As for the assist against Utd, it was from a corner .. He takes all the corners and it is ineitable that some of the balls that he kicks into the area will sometimes be converted into a goal. And you have to admit that he didn't intend to assist Dzeko's first goal. felt that he gave away possession too cheaply and lacked pace.

Let's be honest about it, Nasri hasn't been playing well since the Barcelona (home). We need to find out why.

Fantastic first post.
And why it's in here with a thread title of Slimming Food for Weight Loss I do not know! :/

Fucking hell, just noticed that. I wonder if it's the juice plus+ diet.
Too many E numbers imo.

Re: Samir Nasri

I've never been convinced by him. He has the odd good game but he just doesn't seem hungry enough to me. (success not food Tolmie!). If things are going his way and he's allowed a bit of room by the opposition he can be great, but when it comes to making the difference when the going gets tough he goes missing for me. It's one of the factors that seperates him from Silva. Replace him in the summer with Isco.

Nasri has been the difference for us in quite a few key games mate, but any attacking mid in our side plays second fiddle to Silva.
